2024-11-01 | Gene Soo | Couldn't enter home address without downloading local hometown map. No access to address book to get my destination address. Once an address copied to clipboard, this app does not recognize the target address if it is out of my map area. I would have to pre-download all map areas I intend to nav to. Can't tell if there is an partial online option to resolve this information and advise user of online data usage. If not, this app is unusable.
2024-10-23 | JOE STEIN | Maps are good. Search function is still very hit or miss. A lot of times the search will predict a place that is nothing like what you are trying to type, but will simply jump to a list of places that have the same two or three letters of what you were trying to type, and then not allow you to type the rest of the name of the place you want.
2024-10-10 | Timothy Schroeder | This app was my favorite, and one of the few that I valued enough to pay for, even at the somewhat steep price (I thought) -- but it was worth it. Only now it's time to renew, and it won't renew; it continually declines my transaction. So I'm stuck with just a tiny number of maps, and all my saved info is gone. I'll be looking for something else to replace it. :-(
2024-08-26 | CW McKendry (BR-549) | I've been using this app for years. When the current owners took over I lost hundreds of saved pinpoints overnight The backups I had didn't work. Now when I try to log in to see the points I have saved I get "server error". So i just Deleted the app. Adios and good luck. So sad they ruined what used to be a great app. Zero stars. Save your $$
2024-08-25 | Mzz Bee | This map is reliable. Bookmarking is easy, appreciated feature. I love that I dont need data to use this. Best part where I think beats competitor: off road/foot paths! So helpful when hiking alone!! 2024 SUGGESTION: I made an account to be able to save bookmarks in cloud. Please allow us to sync to different devices from cloud. Entire point of cloud storage is to prevent data loss in event of device failure.
2024-08-20 | Dave | MAÚIÍPS. ME may not have all the bells & whistles that "the other guy" has, but who used all of them anyway. But MAPS. ME has something they don't, and that's personality ! It's almost like having a personal tour guide , as long as you rhave this app, you'll never be alone ! Easy to install & use, plus you don't have to go over to u-tube to learn how to operate everything. And last, their maps are up-to-date, some are even more accurate then other well known brands. A good thing to have.
2024-08-19 | Bennett LaFond | Maps.me used to be the best mapping app out there. I have navigated thousands of miles with it. Unfortunately, recent updates have made it mostly unusable. It no longer provides elevation profiles correctly (instead of saying the difference in gain/loss, it says the start and end elevation), it defaults to driving directions every time, and the bar with route info at the bottom now takes up 50% of the map screen. I would gladly pay for the old version of this app. The new one is garbage.
2024-08-02 | Ed Eifert | Will be removing it from my phone. I've been using the free version with all lower 48 states downloaded. This version had sponsors with adds.. I haven’t traveled for awhile and now when I need it again the new free version limits me and creates a burden using it for travel. Not against you making some money but there are other free versions of maps that work much better for me. I believe I have been using MAPS.ME since around 2016 and loved it. Sorry to be parting ways.
2024-07-26 | ANSER HASSAN | This app USED to be incredible. I had a pro subscription. Now it keeps deleting my maps and saved info! It really sucks because I have traveled to over 100 countries and now all that data and those notes are lost. Had to renew and it won't for the past few weeks. All these updates and it JUST GETS WORSE!! Who is the new management that is dragging this app to #trash!! SMH
2024-07-23 | Mark Dickey | Absolutely love maps.me but when my annual subscription expired I have been unable to renew it. Every payment method fails through Google Play from credit card, to PayPal to Play Credit. I contacted Google support and it took about a week for them to report that the issue is within the app itself and to contact the developers. I sent the developers two emails and they never replied. I cannot download new maps and I really hope I can export all my saved points and transfer them to another app |
