I've been using the pro version for years and it has worked flawlessly. Lately I have not been receiving notifications of new email until I open the app or until 5 seconds after I turn off my phone screen. Now I use a separate email app for immediate notifications yet I still use maildroid for it's conversation mode. 😡

Used this app for years. Days ago I opened it to a black screen moving files with a little counter. Deleted and reinstalled it. Started from scratch reentering info. That was very frustrating. After trying a couple of other apps, went back to MD. Learned to make save folder to keep mail from server deletion. I'm finally back up and OK. To actually be able to delete mail from server is handy. Looks like Flipdog is trying despite Google's "do no harm", (yeah, right!) messing with this app.

I've used this for years. Would give it 4 stars except there was an "update" which makes the program DEMAND to send notifications. If I turn that off, the program displays a screen that says it can't work properly without notifications. I call BS on this. Program worked fine without that before. I'll check my email when I feel like it and don't need or want notifications. Programmer should fix this. Notifications sd be available for those so inclined, but not mandatory.

update Mar 2023. (I'm still a user. I love being able to manage all my different emails in one place. Still highly recommend this.) It has it all. Color separation by account, archiving locally or to server, deleting mail on phone and/or server, control over notifications. I've been a user for a few years. I actually paid for full version recently to get rid of the occasional ads. The creator did a great job. And quick setup for gmail and Yahoo, if you remember ur username and password.

Gmail stopped working: login failed Over the past 8 years, the app has slowly gone downhill. No significant new features were added, but it generally worked. It did have bugs from time to time and the developer was slow to respond if at all. But they seem to clear on their own. Recently, the app is unable to connect to Gmail most days. Oddly, it does occasionally work. Due to hit or miss functionality, I have to move on to a new app.

I have been using this app for many years, but since I got a new phone, I get Java errors when I try to add a storage folder. Nor can I rename existing folders. Plus, I cannot add my gMail account. The Google login works, but then this app runs into a problem. I contacted Maildroid support and they have NEVER got back to me. I am in search of a replacement app.

Great app that sorely needs updating. Well, since I made the above statement the app has been updated. I've only started using it again for a couple of days, but so far it looks like it's back to being the best email app out there, and the pro version is well worth the cost. Welcome back MailDroid. 1/23/22 update. Unfortunately the app freezes with some frequency, and I have to restart my phone in order to get it to work, although it's great when it works properly.

Update: After about 3 years of years I can absolutely say that while the Developer doesn't respond to e-mails, I haven't had any problems with the app (I had one problem I emailed about but only got a form reply. I resolved the issue myself, the email had 0 info that was helpful). MailDroid Pro isn't for someone that wants their hand held with everything. I rarely ask for support for any app or hardware issue, when I do, it's usually when I'm stuck, anyway. This app is just about bug free. If you have a problem it's with your modified version of OS. Contact your Phone issuer (i.e. Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, etc.). Finally a mail app that's just a mail app! I don't want a calendar, I already have an app for that. I just want a mail app that works. Out of all that I've tried this one seems to support all my accounts and works.

I used to love this app, but more and more unnecessary UI changes are being made that are making it less user-friendly and keeps changing the sequence and location of taps necessary to perform actions. After using it for so long that many things become muscle memory, it's very frustrating to have to keep retraining myself when trying to quickly go through my email. Update: now almost 2yrs since last update. Between that & a sudden massive jump in storage & data use, I'm moving on.

Doesn't work with AOL or Yandex (compared emails in app to providers website = not even close). No way to customize the folders displayed in the menu, including a combined sent or trash. Swipe options lacking. UI customizations lacking. For a premium paid app, this sure feels like a beta. Hard to believe this is version 3.x? And the kicker... No clear way to contact support from within the app. #fail #uninstalled
