Written by GRE experts
The entire GRE wordlist is selected and defined with usage examples by Magoosh’s expert tutors, led by Chris Lele. He has been teaching the GRE for more than 10 years, runs a popular vocabulary series on YouTube and he’s also written an eBook on vocabulary. He is unbeatable in Scrabble, or any other word game for that matter.

Review that really sticks
Academic research has found that memories are formed by repeated exposure to new information, so Magoosh’s flashcard app uses a spaced repetition system. Words you are learning will reappear frequently (occurring less frequently the better you know them) and words you already know won’t be repeated. The word list is also culled to only 1000 so that you don't waste time learning unimportant words.

I love this app but I just updated it and it isn't saving the words I've mastered. I'll come back to a deck I haven't finished yet and it will say I have 20 new words even though I've mastered half and was reviewing the other half. It's getting to be very annoying. It feels like I can't finish a deck since it keeps resetting half my progress.

The app is really good and helps remember words well. Some of the problems I faced is that if you mark a word as known in a new list, that word will never come up again for revision. There should be a side feature where all words appear together. Another thing where I feel the app lacks is a Search Bar. It would be really amazing if we get a search bar to directly search a word in this and the flashcard pops up for it. Other than this, it's an amazing app. Would give 5 stars if this is done.

The app has a straight forward user interface. I like it overall and will continue to use it. I find myself looking up some of the words in webster's dictionary to learn more about words that share the same root. It's easier for me to remember a word when I know other words that are related to it. So I wish that some of the definitions were more in-depth within the app. Including synonyms would be nice too.
