CampoBosco

After CampoBosco 2022 in which more than eight hundred people participated, we presented a new approach regarding our pastoral work with young people. Two years later we are celebrating a national meeting like this again.

CampoBosco 2024 returns with more strength for the youth movement of Spain and Portugal; With new energy, with creativity and audacity, we want to continue accompanying young people in their personal growth and maturation of faith. This edition of CampoBosco wants to enhance our proposal of support and commitment to a better reality in which young people themselves are protagonists of change.

At the heart of this meeting lies the figure of Jesus, who is presented as the central axis of all the activity and reflection. Inspired by its message of love and mercy, participants have the opportunity to embark on a journey that seeks to strengthen faith, foster vocational discernment, and deepen accompaniment. We emphasize the Christology that inspires Salesian youth spirituality, we will allow ourselves to be confronted by the faith that Don Bosco, Mother Mazzarello, and the young people of the first Oratory lived.

In this context, this year we commemorate the bicentennial of Don Bosco's 9-year-old dream, an experience that laid the foundations for his commitment to youth and education. Therefore, remembering the spiritual experience of the boy Juan and the projection of that dream throughout his life and his pastoral project, we propose to the young participants of Campobosco to revisit the dream and the salvation project that Providence designed in life. of Don Bosco for young people around the world.

Furthermore, in the Salesian family we celebrate the centenary of the religious profession of Sister Eusebia Palomino, who, like Don Bosco and Maín, dedicated her life to the service of young people, and we commemorate two decades since her beatification. These events are also framed in the context of the next Salesian youth synod, which will take place in I Becchi in the same month of August, which gives a special character to our Campobosco.

The path of synodality that we travel together with the entire Church inspires us in our service to young people, walking alongside them and stimulating their role in an ecclesial community with a renewed face.

Goals:
# Experience the Christian life by visiting the places where the Salesian charism was born, meeting Jesus through the experience of Christian life lived by Don Bosco, Mother Mazzarello and the young people of the first Oratory.
# Rediscover Salesian spirituality through the charismatic message proposed to us by the dream of the nine years and the apostolic project of Don Bosco.
# Propose the figures of the young saints who flourished in Valdocco and Mornese as inspiration for one's own evangelical life project.
# Live ecclesiality from youth protagonism and charismatic communion in harmony with the entire Christian community that walks towards the synod.
