| 2023-10-21 |  | | Great for Android TV OS! The only weather app on Android TV OS which has a widget. Weather forecast is fairly accurate for the most part. My only issue is the app will get messed up if it hasn't been opened in a while, it refuses to update and gets stuck on the same weather. I just use this app for the widget so I don't need to open the app... but the Android system keeps shutting it off. The only fix is to delete the data and cache, or frequently open the app to keep it active. Please fix! |
| 2022-07-27 |  | | Exactly what I need...if I haven't the time to watch the weather report on the telly, I have it on my tablet! Only wish there were satellite images as well, but no worries. A good run whilst it lasted but had to uninstall it cos it stopped changing the temp as it changes irl. I came back to install again but there's no button to do so. Lasted 7 years though. |
| 2021-09-17 |  | | A weather app that does what it's supposed to do, tell the expected weather for the areas I choose, simply, and without it asking for access to cameras, automatic locations, identity, phone call info, etc. and without stuffing my device with unneeded bloat. This is easy, accurate, and a very pretty app to use. Tried lots. Best, by far. ------ I gave the above review over 5 years ago and it's all still true. Wonderful app! |
| 2020-05-03 |  | | Update: the weather has been wrong all the time lately. Right now it says it's sunny and 39°F, but it's overcast, 65 and expecting showers at any moment. Old review: I stopped using the major ones because they are slow. This one does what I need and not much more... Perfect. |
| 2019-10-01 | | | MacroPinch is my favorite weather app. There was a point when it wasn't updating current info, so I had to uninstall same. I used other apps but they give way more info than I need. Im not a metorologist! All that info means nothing to me. I reinstalled MacroPinch and it's working fine. Im glad to have it back!!! |
| 2019-09-26 | | | Used as a replacement for AccuWeather's app (which after a recent revamp had a horrible UI for multiple locations). I've friends all over the world so knowing their weather is helpful. The UI is tidy and professional. The negatives? Completely inaccurate temperatures, off by nearly 20F. Sent Email to Macropinch with full details /analysis, no response in literally months. Disappointing. |
| 2019-08-22 | | | The forecasts are just wrong now. This was my favorite weather app for years. Beautifully simple, it showed only the information i needed and no bloat. But ever since they moved to the new weather data source, the forecasts have been wrong. I've been waiting for months now, hoping it would get fixed. But no dice. What good is a weather app with incorrect data, no matter how good the design is? Sigh... SO disappointing. |
| 2019-07-26 | | | I like the app because it's quick, lightweight, simple, and attractively designed. Unlike some apps, it doesn't give me annoying error messages if I'm not currently connected to the Internet; it just gives the most recent data it has, and displays the time last updated. But there's an odd bug in the Current Weather display where it frequently says "Heavy Rain" when the weather is perfectly clear, etc. Somebody should look into this. |
| 2019-05-02 | | | Nothing works properly anymore. My current location updates maybe once or twice a day. All other locations last updated 76 days ago, and there's no way to update them. I tried deleting and re-adding a few locations, but once removed I cannot look them up again (it says "Could not connect to server" whenever I try typing in the search bar). Has been extremely reliable for me for over 6 years, I just don't know what happened. |
| 2019-04-06 | | | I've used this app for years and been very pleased with it. But, after the developers changed it in February 2019, there are no longer any precipitation percentages shown! This was one of the best features of the app! I've waited a while for them to fix it but it appears they're no longer interested in keeping this app high quality. It looks like I'll have to replace it with a competing product. So sad! |
