2024-02-06 | G Fernández | Great color capturer as it is almost equal to specifically made color calibrating /capturing tools without the high cost. It has great adjustments to adjust for color constancy issues. U can adjust the capture by adding light or dark to color. Artist need access to tools like this & not be priced out like many art supplies. Great for matching reference colors or matching specific colors on designs. One negative, I wish it had Munsell color space, but other than that it's an awesome app.
2023-12-31 | R DB | Unfortunately the paid version shows "Color Grab (Google Play)" watermarked on exported items along with "-- Sent from Color Grab App." pre typed in the message. It also pops up a message asking to rate the app & another asking to share the app. The purchase does get rid of the advert at the bottom, but I would expect the pop-ups, watermark, & pre-filled text to be gone. This is such a great & useful app otherwise. Hopefully the developer will consider these adjustments for the paid version.
2023-10-08 | Mickey White | Nice app. You can create palettes easily from photos. I like the instant conversions of color spaces, and the correlations to commercial paint brands. One quibble, the saved palettes don't open directly in the GIMP. However, when saved in a more portable format (png, jpg) they are still convertible, it just takes one extra step. One additional set of correlations would be standard artist pigment designations.
2023-07-22 | mt. gravy | I LOVE the way this app works!!!! The IUD is super cool, I feel like a spy when I use it. The picker itself is highly accurate, I am an artist and have been testing it with my Pantone Swatcher and its amazingly accurate. I recommend this to anyone, Im currently using it to match colors of decor for the house against wall/floor colors at home. Very, very cool!!!
2023-06-01 | Douglas Downs | Love this app. When it comes to finding just the right color for that painting project. Saves a ton of time running back to the paint store to pick up more color chips. It is also helpful for cross-referencing paint color from one paint brand to another. The only thing it doesn't do is allow you to paint colors onto a photo like the Color Smart app does, but in every other way, this is the only color selection app you'll ever need.
2023-02-26 | Jesse Johnson | It may sound odd, but this is the most useful non internet or MSFT app I've ever had. I'm one of the unlucky one in eight men that is red/green color blind. Being able to precisely match suit to shirt to tie to pocket square is a breeze now. No longer do I have to endure my wife's rolling eyes in the morning. If they'd asked for more to upgrade to pro, I'd have paid it in a second. But they only wanted like $3 to fix my "handicap"? Under selling themselves.
2023-02-25 | casey Hardiman | Sooooo much better than I ever hoped for! It is so intuitive and user-friendly your first time that it kind of blew me away. Whoever did the design just knocked it out of the park because I pretty much knew how to use each button even though they were not labeled and I had not looked at any instructions or guide or anything. That, to me, is a hallmark of excellent app design. Well done!! I also had no idea that in the settings you could change the color library to almost any of the relevant ones
2022-10-18 | Steffi Kaizun (Skaizun) | Not intuitive, but, once you figure it out, it's interesting. You will need to use the flashlight for indoor items. It says that it needs to calibrate using a white surface, but, no matter which such I use, including white vinyl siding in total sunlight, it always says that the object is "too dark"! I like that it saves the colors, but, aim at the same thing twice and you'll get variations. Still, this is close to what I needed, so, beggars can't be (color!) choosers.
2022-07-17 | Po Po | Never had an app apologize for ads AND explain that the ads are needed, but this one does. AND the ads aren't even excessive. Doesn't do the stupid monthly payment to remove them either. Very respectable on the creators end. App has plenty of useful features for getting colors using camera roll or from your own photis. Gives exact colors like dominant colors in the picture for example. Highly recommend.
2022-04-23 | Gabriel | One of the few ads I've written a review for and that's because it's one of the few apps I've kept installed for more than a few months. This app is incredibly useful, I'm a game developer and I often have the need to digitize colors, but it has also helped with picking paint out for my living room and settling arguments with my fiance who thinks I am colorblind :) Great app. |
