Only reason I'm giving this 1 star is because it's impossible to give less. Woefully bad game. The bouncyness completely ruins the whole flow of the game, the levels are repetitive and pointless (bit like the first one, but infinitely worse), there appears to be no settings (seriously, this is a significant oversight - why on earth would I want the shooting to be directional?), & somehow the setup of platforms & monsters can actually be next to impossible to navigate. Please, stick to original.

like the animations and sounds and the gameplay, would like a cloud, google or even a fbook save and not just a local save so we don't lose progress when changing phones or when re installing, ,even so still 5 stars,

👎 original is way better. Some levels are unique (e.g. basketball) but most are just base game reskinned. Stars can only be used to unlock the next level, no items or characters to buy. And you can't use stars earned from replaying previous levels anywhere. (Edit: you can once you purchase no-ads🤦‍♂️) And did they forget to add achievements? Why count broken platforms? Biggest disappointment was unlocking the music level: I expected monsters to conga line or something but nope nothing special.

More polished and smoother that DJ1. But a lot more boring levels and less imaginative. Algorithm: you'll start recognizing groups of traps and platforms. Stars don't do anything except unlock the next level. Like DJ1, there's nothing whatsoever to be gained by continuing upward. Not even a change in background scenery. Feels more pointless the more I play it. If you don't mind the endlessness and difficulty flattening out around 5,000 it'll be fine. Can't say I prefer it over the original.

a really good game experience, the levels take a bit too much but it's ok, my only real gripe with the game is that every time you fall there's an ad. I'm not kidding. Every. single. time. and randomly during those ads the game will just crash. like you have to close out of the game and open it again. overall it's alright but it just needs less ads and to make sure it doesn't crash

It's definitely more difficult than the first one, which wouldn't normally be a problem, except that means you watch more ads. You're forced to watch an ad every time you lose, and they aren't the quick ads. They're the ones that make you watch for awhile, then when you click the skip or X, it still brings you to the Google Play store for whatever game it's promoting. I could probably tolerate it if it was time based ads, like for every 3 mins, you watch one ad. But I'm uninstalling now.

It was great to see new Doodle Jump but the mechanics of this version are so much different than of the first Doodle. It makes is super hard to get anywhere as the bottom planks get out of the view much sooner than before. It's a muscle memory type of thing. It's like I should not play first version of the game at all anymore in order to get used to these new mechanics. Just frustrating as I love this game and played since like 2009-2010, whenever it came out.

Too many ads to the point it ruins the experience. In all fairness, the game has clever gameplay ideas and nice sound effects. Does that mean it's better than its competition? No, and that's why I'm not inclined to buy the premium version or stick to this version either. Worse still, the game is buggy! I was softlocked 5 minutes into my second-ever session. Awful.

This is a great improvement to doodle jump. The gameplay is more fluid, the themes are more interesting and all that. Though I do have some complaints. 1. The stars you collect in previous themes don't carry over to unlocking the next one. What if I like a previous one and don't want to be forced to play the newly unlocked one? 2. There is no explanation why the game keeps count of platforms you break. I need answers!!!

A lot of potential! Gameplay are a lot more smoother than the first, but still need more times to go. But it need the ability to give the stars from any level to the locked level, instead of stuck playing in the same level over, and over just to unlock the next level, which'll make the game a little boring to play. Also I hope soon the majority of the features from the first one can be implemented.
