2024-09-25 | John Lee | I LOVE LETTERBOXD. I love the concept so much. I log all of my movies here, and tell my friends about it when I can. However, the app itself is a little finicky. More than any other app, it simply stops working time to time? It's not my network issue since every other app works during these times. But I'd say several times a month, the app will open but nothing will load.
2024-09-23 | Trent Dailey | Great social media app perfect for movie lovers. The only few things I don't like is that the ui isn't really user-friendly. It's not easy to figure out how to do things half the time and just needs some work. Also they should add tv shows, I'd love to rate breaking bad, or even some anime like dbz or others. There are anime movies though so that's a plus.
2024-09-17 | Dustin | Good app with great potential, I like what it is doing! Would be cool if there was like a trophy or badge system, like rate 5 sci-fi movies, get a sci-fi badge or you could call them film rolls or something. Anyway, great app that allows movie fans to come together and converse about movies, rate them, and keep track of them, I really like it!
2024-08-26 | Lance Chantry | Never used an app that so popular and also so poorly designed. Everything is difficult to find. Nothing is intuitive. Want to save a list someone else made so you can find it later? It's possible, but it's such a roundabout way that you have to look up how to do it every time. How do I view my friends list? No clue.
2024-08-24 | Julian Colas | I can't hardly remember the times when I was waiting for this app before it was available - I love it! Something I was really hoping would have been included, though, is the ability to update your profile. I mostly use my phone to go on Letterboxd and the site (even in desktop mode) is already finicky about editing, so having that option in the app would make this a 5-star rating.
2024-08-14 | Bryan H | It's a pretty good app and there are times when I prefer it over the desktop site. However, the desktop site has a pretty useful feature where the homescreen will show you movies that were recently reviewed by other users and it's a great way to 1) engage with other users 2) check out movies you may not have been otherwise exposed to. I really wish the app added this feature.
2024-08-07 | KING Need Gore | Love the app in concept. Been discovering SO much! Downside: doesn't matter if I clear the cache.. the app lags or completely fails to load after logging so many films (less than 4000). I don't understand why I'm having these types of issues when Twitter exists🙄there's barely any interaction, so why the issue? This is a new behavior of the app, not post-update or anything - It just stops working randomly..
2024-07-20 | Jess Edwards-Payne | I absolutely love this app, I'm just hoping for a couple of things to be added in the future such as: the genres of the films to show on the movie description pages and also for the option to add little personal notes to a film. Other than those 2, the app is great, the ads are not too bad, and it's been very helpful to me
2024-06-23 | Evan Kurtz (Afen) | There are far too many contradictory design choices going on here. The process to add a movie to your watch list is so obfuscated, I'm not sure how a thin box with text halfway down the screen is supposed to stand out against the big green plus button or the various colorful buttons below it.
2024-06-18 | James Nelson | Been using this app for years and it's been great, but recently the ads have been getting worse and worse. Now it's at the point where you have to sit and watch an unskippable ad when you first search for a movie every time you log in. You can pay for a pro membership to avoid ads but with everything else being a subscription service these days I think I've had enough. Yet another genuinely good service going down the drain. So disappointing. |
