2024-12-14 | Mike R | I like how they make learning fun! Only 1 really big issue is that a lot of the pictures don't say what they are and have to guess, for example: is it a shirt or sweater or maybe even a coat? Very very good that the app uses repetition because 1 word might take me a 100 times or even saying it 1,000 times just to get it stuck in my memory permanently.
2024-12-02 | MoeAlbasher | Really great for learning and motivates the brain to memorise in an entertaining way.
2024-12-02 | Aleksander Klajderic | I like the writing lessons, but you should probably focus on the most commonly used hanzi first... wo, ni, qu, le, kan, chi, nan, zi, li... The seasons lesson is a drag with uncommon words. Not suitable for beginners. Why do I need to learn about summer equinox? I never used this in other languages and probably will forget it right away. Butternut squash? Cornucopia? What does this even mean?
2024-08-05 | Nohn | so fun for casual/beginner learners who want to stock up vocab. For serious learners, I recommend using anki + an hsk dictionary as well. plus chatgpt to practise difficult words. but drops is good for in between, it helps you with pronunciation if you try to repeat words accurately as they are pronounced in the app.
2024-07-08 | alfredo gokma tua marpaung | Overall, this apps is fun and different than the other learning apps. Even tho theres a limit each day if u are not premium, but its still acceptable. But i think it could be fun if the apps provide like a chat to the other people, so we can connect with them and also learning together
2024-06-01 | Jose Barra | I love drops! It served me right when I started learning japanese back in 2019, for over a year I kept using it daily, and still today I remember a few prompts. Im starting chinese now, but... this app keeps freezing on me! Its a few taps, 3〜6 more or less, and then I cant do anything else. The tutorial worked fine, but I cant start my first session now... 😵💫
2022-07-10 | Nice Person | Five minutes to learn a language is clearly not enough! Especially chinese, which takes about 10 years to learn. I guess it's good for building up your vocabulary but too many things are unavailable without premium. I've seen better chinese apps that I'd rather pay for. Plus, some things are incorrect! And sometimes the pictures don't help at all.
2021-12-17 | KM HM | Great app! I love the categories! Instead of your native language being the focal point of learning Mandarin, there's limited English so that it actually feels like you're practicing Mandarin. You're looking at, reading, and listening to Mandarin. There's a glossary of learned vocabulary which you can look at if you forget the meaning of a word. But with most of the pictures, it's easy to remember.
2021-06-18 | Zenith Spectrum | Button responsiveness is not good in the matching scene/activity (please other areas as well) when you do speed drills; you thought you tapped it but you didn't. Guided writing where you make the water fill the character is frustrating (could use more leeway there) as you will never ever be able to guess when the line should stop. The animation wastes time; is there an option to turn it off? The handwriting where you actually write is great. It's a good language learning app.
2021-05-12 | Hela Kelemen | This app is great besides the (female) audio. The voice sometimes doesn't match the pinyin tone, which is confusing. (Is iy on purpose, though?) Also, the pronounciation of some words doesn't sound authentic, and I've been casually learning Mandarin for nearly two years. Please correct me if I'm talking nonsense, though! It can be an accent that I'm not familiar with... Otherwise, I highly reccomend Drops! It really stands out among the many apps I've used, and it's one of the few I've kept. ❤ |
