2024-11-12 | Simamkele Mxakeki | More easy to learn words and understand π― but there's no option to write your own sentence π
2024-07-26 | Dana Thompson | I really LOVE this app. I wanted to learn just a little Swahili to use on a Safari (photo) trip to Tanzania and Kenya. I am so thankful I did. Greeting people in THEIR language let's them know happy you are to be in their Country. Best thing I've ever done. Languages are not so easy to learn as...well...some of us are not in our 20's anymore. I highly recommend this app!!
2024-03-21 | Shani Sambrano | I appreciate that the app provides free access to basic vocabulary and phrases with audio clips of pronunciation. It lacks a system to help you actually memorize the content. There are no drills or games to present vocabulary in small sets with repetition. There is also no maintenance program to help you review the terms you learn. These things are essential for learning. I am a former teacher and Vice Principal.
2022-08-18 | Tengwan Ambe Frederick | This is a code switching app, not a learning app. A learning app should not focus on giving equivalents but should have full course that builds language competence. Unless, I missed something. I think you should focus on the learning programme, the sequencing of lessons and the outcome of competence. Bilingual dictionary better describes you.
2022-08-07 | James βJimbobβ Kirk | It's got a lot of good phrases that are helpful. Has all the basics and a good search functionality. Would be cool if they added some tests or something. To test yourself. But it's free and doesn't seem to have ads. Plus they have a word of the day kind of thing where I just get popups with random words. Sometimes they're just the same in Swahili as in English which is funny π but it's useful nonetheless. Add some practice tests for each section and I'll give it 5 stars π
2022-02-13 | Pitched Black | I love the quizes, the words of the day, the play back, and the ability to have the repeat play back for proper pronounciation. Now all I need is to have the same or similar app for Isizulu... Please... Don't go changing anything... It works great as it is... Awesome app... Total props for an app well done! Update! 12/25/2021 2/13/2022 update still great! I had an error which was all my fault... Operator error! Glad I tried again... I didn't want to believe it, so I tried again!πππππ
2022-01-27 | Nita 4real | Overall I'm having a good experience. I love the notifications throughout the day with different words and phrases. It has helped alot. I took off a star for inaccuracy. My husband is from Kenya and speaks fluent swahili and he noticed some of the swahili words dont match the english words correctly.
2022-01-24 | Bjarka | Very good app. I wouldn't mind buying it to remove ads and be able to access more content but there is no information about the price, to be honest, it looks very fishy and I would never agree to terms where the price isn't visible.
2021-12-23 | Roy Teflon | Some few grammatical errors but my overall experience is good, it is a useful app. Amazing layout and categorization of word groups. I like it that you can track your progress and you can actually pronounce the words and the app's speech recognition is magnificent. Slight improvements needed, especially on the grammar. I want to share it with someone who wants to learn Swahili. Good job, and look for ways to improve it. ππΎππΎ
2021-04-16 | Clare Cunningham | I like the notifications teaching random words and I like the overall set up and look of the app. However, I'm not entirely sure how to use it yet (ie. What do the different symbols mean, the stars, the blue ticks etc.) A tutorial page/guide would be helpful. Also, the voice detection doesn't really work - I got an incorrect answer because it decided I hadn't spoken with a capital letter. |
