2024-11-21 | Mary Pauline Desembrana (Apple) | Got addicted to it for a week now. My only concern so far is the pathfinding when exploring the map and also on how slow my character moves there. It is so tedious that I currently try to avoid playing that part of the game. Maybe add in a proper pathfinding algorithm to get my character from the current location to the location we want to go, or like add joystick controls for us to move the character ourselves.
2023-09-18 | Daniel “Boone” Moore | I like what you're TRYING to do, but y'all are failing miserably. I need an audio recording to properly vent my frustrations about this game. Character control is clunky. Couldn't program a modern joystick control? I click to move and wait FOR-EV-ER to watch the character move. The game does not intuitively teach you how to play it. Let's talk about the first capture trap. I get it, walk back to the beginning to catch a white tiger. And WASTE THE TRAP because it has a timer I did not expect.
2023-08-11 | Rhuinn H | fun, engaging, addictive. learn things in a sensible manner beginning with common vocab and grammar. never felt like i was spinning my wheels learning things id never use, ads arent off the chain, and im not forced to pay for the year/lifetime plan in order to get past the first few lessons. the best part is getting all the necessary repetition in to make it stick, without really noticing it.
2023-08-05 | Rachelle Christensen | This app is phenomenal! I've quickly improved my Spanish ability and now am learning German too!! This language learning game actually FEELS like a game, not just a multiple choice quiz. There are several different ways to learn through the app: self-study, global competition, clan skirmishes, reading literature, and more! The developer stays in communication and keeps things updated. The German section is not as developed as the Spanish but has potential. Free version is great for beginners.
2022-12-27 | Will Wailes | This app is awesome. It's the opposite of Rosetta Stone, which is complete immersion. LangLandia's method is to forge a strong connection between English and the target language's words. There's also a lot of repetition. Rosetta Stone reviews previous content, but it's not the same. LangLandia drills it into your head and these opposite learning methods accent each other beautifully. I'm very glad to have found this app.
2022-10-18 | Tamara | I love this game and I'm learning so much! It's not my primary learning app so I decided to do the version with ads and it was okay at first but starting yesterday there's an ad every 45 seconds to 1 minute. It used to be about every 1.5-2 minutes which I understood because I'm on the free version. But not even 1 minute and an ad? Way too often. I've never used an app with such a short time between ads. Also my white tiger won't level up past level 25. When it gets to 26 it resets back to 25.
2022-06-03 | LeMarte Young | I like the features, I think there should be a bundle purchase at discount price. Instead of having to buy this that and another for each mode. If that were available I would be happy to play. I think the gameplay, controls and frames per second can be more smooth, and please work on the glitches. Overall though, I love the game.
2022-05-12 | Susanne Palmer | I have 4 years of schooling in Spanish, but have never been very good at understanding native speakers. I can speak ok Spanish but I have to think about it first. I like how this program makes me translate quickly without overly thinking about it. I also like how I can read books partially in Spanish and be able to understand a good portion of what I'm reading. It helps encourage me that I'm making progress.
2022-03-16 | Griffin at Dawn | It is very fun to play and is good as a language leaning tool. It has battle style flash cards that keep you engaged, speech practice, and reading tools. I really like that they put all of this into a fun game to play. I especially like that they added books in partial and full spanish to read, as I feel that is an important component a lot of resources lack. There are in app purchases but it seems most things you can get for free eventually, which I very much appreciate. It is a great app.
2022-02-17 | River Oflight | The transition between grades can be quite merciless. Especially with grammar, I'm relying on outside sources at the moment to help me understand, and having to pull out old school,paper-and-pen, study methods. It's not a game at this point, it's work, I don't feel a slow and steady increase in confidence, it's just all or nothing. |
