2024-12-11 | Koben Playz | Great game that was ruined by the addition of intrusive forced ads, 1 played for a few years, watched the ads that I chose to to get rewards that's a good ad revenue system. Finally got to the point where it's pay to get the non as version or just uninstall and for get this game exists I'm doing the latter cause this was a f2p game ... Lowered rating due to reply from the devs thanks for their time.
2024-10-30 | Alexandra Montgomery | This is a beautiful game! It's very soothing and fun to play, plus they've added a bunch of awesome details the first game didn't have. There's new colors that vary by koi species, daily quests, a side pond you can customize, and a ton of new prey. This is one of the very few games I've found that is 100% NOT pay-to-win. I applaud the devs for finding a perfect balance between too easy and frustratingly difficult, and sticking to their model without getting greedy. Update 2024: still awesome!
2024-06-16 | Liz Durham | Edit to the response. I'll watch ads for free stuff, no problem, but every time i check on my progress, there's an ad when i leave the menu. It makes me not want to play. Either have less of those ads or have a paid version with ad free. I dont mind the ads on the bottom that just hang out or ask if I'll watch for a free peral every now and then. But every time i go to check to see if i have enough for making the stones is crazy
2024-06-16 | Sirena Mares | If you have patience or little issues controlling impulsivity, you won't see your wallet become thinner faster than you ever could on a healthy diet. Alas, taking advantage of neuroatypical players is pretty much the foundation of the free-to-play mobile game economy, so this aspect is unsurprising. What is surprising though is just how elegant, simple, yet engaging it is. I really wish there were a $10 version of it where restrictions on inventory aren't stressful.
2024-06-06 | Mark D | It's relaxing, yet frustrating, at the same time. Achievements don't work correctly: I gift koi to friends, but I don't get credit for it and didn't get pearls, which are difficult to earn. Also, things aren't explained well. For example, I thought it was a bug that I would pass over fish without eating them until I realized that I was breaking pieces of shell or armor on the fish and that you have to keep chasing it, touching it several times until you catch it. It can be tedious: not Zen.
2024-06-02 | Jillian Arnold | Very relaxing game. In my opinion, there isn't enough of a reward/"victory lap" once you unlock a dragon. I want to play as the dragon in the pond after he ascends, or have higher stat limits for future fish, or more of the pond unlocked. I don't like that I start completely over with every new fish, but I don't think that aligns with the goals of the game. The game does its job very well. It has good mechanics, and peaceful graphics, music, and sound effects.
2024-03-22 | Deborah Cunningham | A nice game. A bit redundant but I like the idea of getting the collections complete, even if it takes a long time to make each into a dragon. It's supposed to be a relaxing game but there are ads with every couple of clicks and no way to add friends outside of Facebook, which means I can't complete the daily challenges. A lot of pearls are needed and are hard to come by. I will watch the voluntary ads for these, and do. I just want less forced ads and possibly more variety in the game play.
2023-09-25 | Chelsea Davenport | Love love love!! The music is delightful, gameplay is easy, and the graphics are fantastic! It's relaxing, which is what I was looking for, and even though I haven't figured all the controls yet I'm having an amazing time just swimming my way around the pond chasing cute little creatures and learning as I go. Each new discovery is a new burst of joy for me!
2023-01-13 | Cassie Moody | I love this game, letting my koi eat and grow into beautiful dragons. It's very relaxing with the calming sounds and music. My one problem is that when the game updated yesterday, after I went to expand my pond there would be an ad. The ad would kill the music for the gameplay and music. There's some parts of the game that rely on the sound ques. I hope this gets fixed soon.
2021-11-01 | Sarah Vunkannon | I love this game! The way it progresses is stable, but not too stable, with the changing prey every two levels adding much appreciated variation. It only takes half an hour to ascend a fish. The prey and the fish are beautifully designed, and I love that nothing in the game demands that I play it. I don't even have to awaken my dragons if I don't want to. And if I stop playing for months or years, I can come back and pick up right where I left off. That's how Zen should be. |
