Hi, I started this project after leaving Reddit and being dissatisfied with the current Lemmy apps. I wanted a browsing experience similar to what I was used to and I hope others who are in a similar situation will enjoy Connect for Lemmy.

My favorite app for Lemmy. It's not on the same level as some of the 3rd party Reddit apps used to be, but it is close and I am picky. It's very complete in terms of features, but some do feel a little unpolished. Closing images by swiping for example works, but there's some delay before it actually closes. And in terms of customization there's no way to customize comment browsing single tap behavior. But for everything else this can be customized to be a drop in replacement.

This is the best app for Lemmy I've been able to find, and I've tried most out there (Sync, Jerboa, Liftoff). Its the only one I've found that can block entire instances, helping me cut way down on the nonsense in my feed. My only complaint is that its too easy to trigger closing the app when you swipe back from a post to your feed. If you start your swipe too far to the left, it tries to close the app. Would be great if I could toggle that off as I close apps from the Recents view.

Can't adjust my volume when I open the app. I have to switch to my home button or another app just to adjust my volume on Android (Google Pixel 4). It automatically plays YouTube videos in the app. I can't get it to open them in YouTube's app. It won't actually let you block communities if you're not logged in. It just pretends to block it. Otherwise the experience is good.
