2024-06-23 | Seth Mc | When I restore user apps+ their data I cannot open any of the apps restored. After restore I reboot phone. Then I have to wipe data on my Apps , sometimes that doesn't work and I end up having to uninstall the app and reinstall it. Am I doing something wrong? Pixel7Pro stock Android 14 & DerpFest 14 magisk stable. Headed to the Q&A now to try and solve this.
2022-06-06 | Wei Chai | Updated on 6/5/2022, 1 star: The PRO key stops working on Android 10 recently as of June 2022. The main app complains no key found. I don't know if this app is going to get any future update. Previous review on 3/28/17, 4 stars: Currently, the apps on adopted storage are not displayed in the app list. Adopted storage is a feature in Marshmallow. Cannot use this app now even though I am a paid user. I will change the star if the feature is added.
2022-01-07 | Jp | Generally very good but as others have noted, what was once a killer app is now pretty much unsupported. I get it's annoying to deal with android's moronic "improvements" (scoped storage anyone π€¬) every OS upgrade but that's the nature of the beast. There's some key features that do need immediate fixing - namely using the single rom recovery update.zip method. Currently you have to create update.zip on the same location that you are backing up from. Never a good idea.
2021-11-11 | f g | You've been good since the beginning but now it's starting to slip. Freezing isn't working properly, cloud provider link not working. Certain apps have beaten you. You have to stay ahead off them or they will push your app into obsolescence
2020-08-06 | J.T. Bolin | Absolutely indispensable for restore and back up on any rooted Android device. My only complaint is that sometimes apps can't restore (whatever reason, not TB or dev's fault), but instead of just throwing an error, it just hangs saying "Restoring [whatever app]" indefinitely until I force close Titanium Backup. I only know an error occurred by reading Catlog entries. Can we at least get an error message or a way for TB to abort without force closing?
2020-07-03 | Oliver Reinhold | Unfortunately I made the mistake to rely on the backup of this app. Now my entire conversation history and all media files of the Messenger app Signal are lost forever. The application data can not be restored in a way Signal can work with. Every attempt to get a reply from support failed.
2020-04-15 | A Google user | Dev is AWOL. This used to be the best app and the first I installed after a wipe. It does not work. Help is autorespond to a do-it-your-self knowledge base. Did what they said. Didn't work. Went to the contact us website. Crickets. It will reinstall data but not the apps regularly. Batch restore is completely broken. It worked before the last Android patch. If you are looking at this, look elsewhere. Read the recent reviews. Check XDA. But save your time and money.
2020-04-03 | A Google user | Is there a way to export titanium backup settings? You'd be very convenient if you could back up titanium backup data in the app itself. To preserve lists and settings over various ROM installations. I understand that you can back up the data file manually and then just replace it on the new ROM, but it would be very nice if this process could be automated, or at the very least if the titanium backup settings could be backed up to a configuration file and then imported upon a new install. 2020-03-07 | A Google user | Update: I recently went to reinstall a bunch of apps and TBP crashed on batch restore, every 1-3 apps. Each time, I had to restart my phone because of this miserable app. Doesn't support self-hosted backup services. The web server crashes, and from googling the problem, this has been a common problem for years. Horrifically difficult to use, dated user interface in a program that by and large hasn't seen any significant development in years. There are far better backup apps out there whose authors aren't just sitting back and collecting people's licensing fees.
2019-12-19 | A Google user | Requires android file hierarchy knowledge now. Titanium Backup Pro (quite pricey) cannot locate bloat apk such as; Chrome, Drive, GMAIL.. which sit in the /System/Product/app hierarchy. And can simply delete the .apk myself. Titanium which I used in the past, could effortless remove any APK to the point it was dangerously awesome. Batch backup is great, but once again I can create a sh script which can do the same thing.. Feeling a bit ripped off.. |
