2024-06-08 | Julka Slezakova | Hello, I've contacted you about a decent problem I'm facing - with the app crashing on Samsung Galaxy A55 while trying to load bundles. Please help me fix this as I can not add any new words in the vocab section. Thank you
2023-02-15 | Jess Miller | I like how it has the list of n5/n4 etc words and you can go through and rank how well you know them. As an intermediate learner this is super helpful. There is a full version (free only includes n5 vocab) and it is not subscription based! But.. I want to buy the full version but I keep getting errors!! The app has trouble communicating with Google play store. I have purchased stuff on a different app, so it's the apps problem. Please help!
2022-02-17 | Tim “2.0” | Nice in principle, but adding your own words is way too cumbersome. Type it in, tap the word, open the menu, tap "add to study list", then tap back, clear the search field, then type again. I really need to import words from text files. There is a plus button that looks like it can do it, but seems to have no effect.
2021-03-15 | Abderrahmen Lahyani | Really the best app I ever had. This is now my primary vocabulary source. It helped me get all N4 vocabulary in 20 days, when everyone on the internet demotivated me saying I'd need 150 days. I'm now halfway through N3 and looking to complete it in the next month. It's really good and fun and has everything you need, I spend 1-2h each day on it. Really really thank you. It'd be better to have notifications reminding me to study each day.
2021-03-03 | Danika Inq | Great app overall, despite occasional audio bugs. I wish pitch accent patterns were a part of the vocabulary entires, because currently I am unable to find an app that would both provide the pitch accent information and have a good inbuilt memorization tool, and I feel that this app could enjoy even more success if it did that.
2020-09-09 | ハイカル[Haikal] | A VERY GREAT app to learn japanese vocabulary. I like the fact that the vocabularies is bundled within their own categories(there are bundles that you can get only by buying the full version, but the free ones already gave you much to work with). If only the learn new words limit were higher, that would be very helpful and can boost our learning very much (especially for those who have a lot of free time). The learn new words is the best mode for me.
2020-02-15 | A Google user | I've been enjoying the app so far and the spaced repetition system and summaries are well telegraphed. One thing that keeps it from 5 star for me is the pacing of the reviews - the 2-3s pause between cards is starting to get annoying when I'm trying to crunch through 100+ reviews. Maybe the wait could be configurable or support an extra tap to skip the delay? (Probably since I'm mostly using this app with the audio off) Thanks!
2019-12-03 | A Google user | I have loved my experience with Tango. It is easy to use, helps with memorization, and I can see progress in my kanji and vocabulary recognition. I test out a lot of language apps and I keep coming back to this one. Love it!
2019-10-04 | A Google user | I like the idea and have tried to use over several months but the app has major flaws. Crashes when going to the bundles list, all of the audio is a robotic pc voice that is hard if not impossible to make out clearly & and no matter how many times I have reinstalled or tried different bbundles the list of answers don't exist. Only the word, kanji or sound and the blank face icon. No matter how many hundreds of words I know I can not track any progress with this app. I give up and move on.
2019-09-28 | A Google user | This app is an amazing flash card trainer/dictionary for Japanese. I'm currently using it to study for the JLPT N3 and it's spaced repetition is helping me remember so many words. You can also customize your word list and which you are learning next so it's completely compatible with any book or curriculum if you don't mind a little work. The developer is also an amazing guy! I sent feedback and he implemented my feature requests within a week (same results not guaranteed 😉) |
