2024-12-11 | This app works well and does what I need it to do. However, I have two minor issues. One is that if I pause a timer, I can't then tap in the boxes where it shows me the remaining time to change any of the numbers. I have to reset the timer back to what it started at before I can make the change. The other thing is that it's stupidly expensive to remove the ads. $12 is ridiculous. And why would I pay a subscription for a timer app?
2024-09-22 | The app is decent, works well. Ad format is annoying The free version is pretty much unusable because every time you pull it up to time something you have to sit through an ad. I've missed multiple timings due to ads. I'm all for developers making money on their work, but taking over the screen for required viewing doesn't work here. Even banner ads up and down would be more acceptable. Hope they fix because I may need to find something else otherwise...
2024-09-17 | This dev's my hero. (I am not affiliated in any way with the developer) (Orig Review - 5/3/15) Survived the "reboot" test. Guys, this is it. It is beautiful, and very functional. I bought the full version. Now I can set individual timers for routine tasks, and timers for special tasks which I can easily delete. It even has an interval timer feature where you can periodically have it remind you at certain intervals as the timer counts down to zero.
2024-09-17 | Installed this app in 2021, still using it in 2024, ads were super annoying, so I ended up forking the cash this year and never looked back. The app has tons of functionality and tons of customizability to built robust multi-layered smart timers as well as groups. Other apps may have fancy graphics and pretty buttons, but this app is actually full of functionality. And the icing on the cake: DARK MODE! =)
2024-08-24 | Useful app. I'm taking off one star because even though I have the paid version, sometimes it forces me to watch ads that I can't close, skip, or minimize, and the ad takes over my phone and makes the app completely unusable while the ad plays. I don't think there should be any ads for the paid version, but at most it should be an unobtrusive banner. EDIT: I haven't had any issues with ads for a while, so I'm bumping my rating back up to 5 stars.
2024-07-31 | The ads interrupt you when you set multiple timers. There's just too many ads, and a $12 lifetime premium or a MONTHLY sub? It's a TIMER app. Not a live service. What are you updating to need continued fees. I resorted to restarting the app to skip ads but I've become sick of it. The fact that the ads they show are the "Wait 15 seconds, hit skip, wait 10 seconds, then exit" type really works against an app around time keeping.
2024-06-28 | Used to be a great app to keep me on task. Customize, label & save multiple timers. Ads were relevant & unintrusive bottom banners. In 2022 or 23 they began using full screen ads that have to be double- or triple-clicked out of. SUPER INCONVENIENT when ur trying to turn off the sounding alarm but ur stuck in a friggin' ad! Also, u can only use the snooze feature if ur phone screen is off when the alarm goes off. If ur actively using ur phone, the only option ur given is to turn off the alarm.
2024-06-18 | Twice, a timer was "up" and I tried to turn it off but it wouldn't turn off. I had to go to my phone settings and "force close" the app to turn off the alarm. I'm uninstalling this app. Descent interface but a critical flaw that makes it too unstable for me to live with.
2024-01-06 | I've used this app for five years and I have loved it. I use it multiple times a day. I had updates turned off because it was working fine and I didn't see any need for changes. I just got a new phone and installed the new version. The ads are now so intrusive that the app is nearly impossible to use. The banner messages were fine, but now I have to wait through a long ad before I can even start a timer. I'm changing the five star rating that I left in 2019 to one star and uninstalling.
2023-09-16 | Big pros: you can have multiple timers going at the same time. You can set a "pre-timer" if desired to let you know a timer will be up soon. You can set series of timers to run in sequence. Cons: if your timer goes off while you are using the phone, there is no pop up, so you have to go to the app to dismiss the timer or add more time. This also applies when you are on a phone call, with the added disadvantage that the alarm sounds in the ear of the other party as well. I will continue to use. |
