I'd feel more comfortable if the Advanced permissions were used so the app didn't need permission to see all my notifications, just the ones from the Now Playing system. It's a pity Google doesn't just provide a direct API for this.

I'd love to use this but access to all notifications is too much. If it were open source, I would probably gladly accept after taking a look at the code, but it's not worth the risk. Though it may not have been previously possible to gain permissions to more specific subsets notifications, it looks like that's now possible, at least on my Pixel. If it were possible to update this to allow access to only the apps necessary, I would gladly use it and share it around.

Appears to be straightforward to setup. Connect to Spotify, enable notifications, and hit synchronize within the app. However it does not work for my device and operating system as the playlist remains empty and the app does not show anything in the Music page. If it works in a future update I will change my rating, as this app does exactly what I feel What's Listening should have innately.
