2024-12-14 | Jacob Horsley | This game is both mind rotting but fun at the same time, it takes the whole concept of what ants are and turns it up to eleven, the mechanics are unique, realistic and well thought out, the designs of each member of your swarm are really cool to look at and the textures are bare but still stand out to other games, overall a really good game, ive had this game over at least 5 generations of phones and ipads, so its like 1 of my favourite mobile games aside from alien path and burito bison.
2024-11-17 | Artem Makeev | I actually love the original web-version swarm simulator - it was nice, clean and satisfying. Very enjoyable idle game. But this one in app is horrible! Like it's probably the same in terms of math and how the progress goes, but it's intrusive with annoying tutorial that can't be skipped and messy and hard to look at your progress. I actually still enjoy web version, but I deleted this one because this design makes this game unplayable. Just play the web version of it - it's much better.
2024-07-05 | Dennis Arguelles | The game is fun I must say, The game has endless bug swarm evolution. There are a few things that is on my mind 1) the game doesn't have a map where you can see your structures and swarm bugs working, you only see the categories of your larvae, meat, territory, energy and mutagen stuff. 2) the shapes aren't smooth I just see rough polyhedrons 3) the game doesn't have any mobs, I hope that they add mobs to the game to defeat and get loot. For that I give this game a review of 4 stars
2024-06-19 | Raivis B | Great idle game, based on previous minimalistic swarm simulator game on web/pc, which got traction on Kongregate. No flashy, annoying ads. There are some buyables, but nothing dealbreaking. Game design is very clean and minimalistic. You can easily not play it for some time, and the game keeps producing while offline. While simple, there is plenty to calculate and improve in your strategy, with huge effects.
2023-01-29 | bigjaw1999 | It's almost been a year since I started playing this version of the game. First of all, it runs great, and the player oriented design of the crystal system is nearly perfect to me. I didn't feel forced to pay for the extras, but I did because I wanted to support this kind of design. As for the gameplay, it was incredibly fun but has stagnated after a few months and now I'm just grinding gold bugs and killed fiznik for the 100th time today. Leaderboard stopped working last update unfortunately...
2023-01-04 | starlightCata | If youre looking for an idle game, Swarm Sim is one of the best. The models are charming, the systems are fun and intuitive, and the game doesnt penalize you for offline time at all; it in fact makes idle and offline time *more* efficient than hawking it constantly. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys these types of games.
2022-09-05 | Alan Jarvis | The game is fun and in the beginning you're paying attention and really upgrading your stuff but after a while you're only getting on for about five minutes to spend all your resources before you wait another five hours or so for your resources to build back up and repeat the process. Super simple and easy to understand game. I enjoy the graphics and it's not overly complicated.
2022-05-20 | Pew Zek | I'm only not giving this app 5 stars because, parts of the game are kind of soft locked if you don't spend some money, I say softlock loosely because it's not impossible to reach say the cannon defense that costs crystals to unlock, I feel like that part of the game is more pay to win if anything. Other than that overall good design and I've had a great experience with it.
2022-04-25 | S D | Needs a help section for contacting devs. Played this for months, got a new phone, tried playing and it started me from scratch. I hit the cloud option and it saved the new blank state and now I cant access any of my progress. Can still see my acount name in the leaderboards for havingy max achievements but cant access them. Dont want to start from scratch so its too bad.
2020-12-11 | Koda | I was a fan of the og swarm sim on Kongregate. The 3d graphics are nice, but i find myself missing the compact scrolling menus. Other than wishing for a few QOL features such as remembering upgrade settings, its just how I remember. To those who complain the game slows down, or complain about spending x amount of time on one qscension or about the golden bugs: the game is faster than the 2d version. Everything is the same except new graphics and feaures. You just need to make better choices. |
