I followed the directions exactly- made sure they were on the same Wi-Fi network, tapped build number seven times, enable developer options, enable USB debugging, then I connected my phoneto my Mac via USB-C, created an account, logged in, and Bam my phone is being mirrored to my Macintosh. I don't know why anybody in these reviews are complaining it literally does exactly what it says it's going to do if you follow the instructions.
