2024-11-28 | Nick B | Buggy and confusing. I seem to have paid for tidal atlas rather than tides. I've also had a number of error messages including the famous "object reference not set to an instance of the object" which signifies a coding error. I've only been using it an hour. Get Absolute Tides instead - cheap and simple (but UK only).
2024-05-30 | Hedley Jones | Would be 5 stars except that you can only rely on it when set to UT/GMT. Summer time works for their standard ports, but custom ports only work in UT. In summer time (+1 hour in UK, for example) the app takes the BST tide time from the standard port and adds another hour adjustment - so applying a summer time adjustment twice. The result in UK is your port will be wrong by 1 hour. I did write to Imray 1 year ago, bit they haven't fixed it. The rest of the app is great.
2024-04-19 | dave power | Quite annoying to have to buy two licenses to be able to change the date, only realised after i bought the first one now have to pay another £5.99. Had i known this would not have bought the first one as £12 is too much.
2024-01-19 | John O'Connor | I have purchased the licence for tides for 2024, but the app refuses to acknowledge this and will not let me get tides. Yet when I go to the app extension page, there is a check next to 2024 indicating that it is purchased. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it, but no joy. I need this facility for work. It's very annoying. This app has worked seamlessly over the past couple of years. So after a couple of emails back and forth, Imray very kindly fixed the problem by giving me a gift of 2025 tides.
2024-01-03 | Jon Watson | Does not show the double high for Cowes IoW area, therefore it's hard to tell when the real second high tide is, therefore when the current is really going to turn. Also, whilst it shows (apparently) tidal heights at all times of the day, and which I had believed, it is purely sinusoidal applied to the tide times, ie is a pure sin wave, very regular, rather than fact. This app has been useful for getting some ideas of tide times, especially when planning ahead during the year.
2023-08-08 | Marion Shirley | I liked this on IPad but can't get it to work this year as IPad asked for payment verification using a phone number which is unknown to me and does not appear in my bank accounts or in Apple Store. So I purchased on Android for my phone but the app keeps crashing and won't show my favourite ports or store any more. I have tried to contact support numerous times but received no answer. Google play says I didn't buy it although I did. How can I get my money back for this useless app?
2023-07-08 | Michele K | I've found this app v useful for predictions, although there are some anomalies; for instance there are two locations seemingly for the same thing; 'London Bridge' and 'LONDON BRIDGE (TOWER PIER). They do not give the same times. I've changed the overall setting to BST; the correct one is the 'TOWER PIER' one, but the other 'London Bridge' does not give BST. It looks like it's a duplicate that isn't needed and it doesn't work properly- it has the 'BST bug' already mentioned maybe. Remove it?
2023-04-26 | Guy Winfield | Used this App last year for the whole season and really like it. Unfortunately the calendar function no longer works and I can't search any further than 2022. Please fix this. I am using an alternative app and would like to come back to this one.
2023-03-03 | Paul R | Just downloaded the APP and it does not give much detail... it looks like it wont be any use at all.. it looks like something form the begining of computer graphics, very blocky and no detail
2023-02-13 | Robbie Winfield | It's as if this app was written in the 1990s by someone who has never used a smartphone before. Honestly. I paid for the Tidal Stream Atlas add on, but seemingly can only see the streams for this current point in time. |
