Works with my lights and remote dimmer, but "Works with Google?" Nope. That has never worked properly. I've been trying periodically for almost a year now, and every time it just hangs on the "Enable support for Google Assistant" step until it eventually says "Unable to integrate." I've tried searching for answers but haven't found anything useful. False advertising.

App was working OK, but now all of my blinds are greyed out in the app. They still show up, but I'm unable to control them via the app and smart assistants. I've tried recharging the batteries but that didn't help. At least controlling them via the open/close remote still works, but that's not optimal... *EDIT* I got my system working again by factory resetting EVERYTHING -- blinds, remotes, repeaters and Gateway -- and then adding them one-by-one back to the app. Again, not optimal :-(

It has never worked effectively. The hub doesn't lose connection constantly anymore, but now the app fails to connect Every. Single. Time. I have saved the IP, serial and security code to my phone so that I can re-register any time I need to adjust lighting. Without the remote, they are impossible to use with the app alone. I will be throwing them in the garbage soon, I suggest you do the same. Forget about Google Assistant working … Update: It's all in the garbage a long time ago.

There is no login, so I assume that if I reinstall, I'll have to go through all the setup again? Very weird setup by the way, had to retry a few times, you need to pair the remote with gateway, repeater and blind - too many devices involved. The remote could simply be connected directly to blind and that's it, or directly to the gateway. Why this repeater after gateway is installed. I think that's bad engineering.

The hub used to have a ton of problems keeping connected and when it would reset, it'd confuse Google into thinking the accounts were no longer connected, WHILE IKEA app thought they were! Oh and later the app would refuse to relink to Google if you disconnected it! Haven't had that happen in bit and think the new presets are quite handy. It's only missing widgets. Google home doesn't have widgets, or the preset buttons, so a preset buttons widget would be what everyone needs! Make it happen plz

I am now able to add the Google home integration, so what ever the issue it now seems fixed. ***** This latest update send to have broken my Google home integration. I removed the integration like the faq suggests, but I cannot re add it. It just spins and says something went wrong try again. Please fix this, your error messages, or your troubleshooting steps (or all 3 preferably)

When it works it works good but randomly it stop working and need to reset the main unit. Most of the time when they update the app the system stop working with the Amazon Alexa skill. Today my lights stop working with the Alexa. Check the app and have an update. Updated the app, the lights work with the app but non with the Alexa. Try to troubleshoot and end up removing the skill and try to add it again but not it does not link, it says unable to connect to amazon please try later but has being saying that for hours. Now none of my lights work with the Alexa so now they are worthless to me as I did not purchase them to use them with the phone, rather use the switch than pulling an app, looking for a light to be able to turn them on. I rather flip the switch and done. May be returning them all and I have all my house with this lights except the restrooms. This is a pain when it happens, does not happen often but when it does it is a pain and takes time. Some times you need to reset everything and then add all again and set them up. It takes hours to do so I may be done with this lights now. They were good but today just hit the spot that I change my opinion on this lights. If you want something that work with the phone with an app or you want to use their buttons and motion sensors then go for it they are good, for anything else like integrate them with Alexa, I don't think it will be reliable enough to get them. Your choice. I was happy with them but now I hate when they stop working as I am too use to talk instead of flipping switches but I will go back to switches I guess or with another brand. Good luck with them. Thanks

Not easy to connect things but worked well generally once they were connected. I have two sets of blinds connected to the app. For reasons that are being me, both blinds are no longer able to be manipulated through the app. Says the app isn't up to date... But there are no new updates. Can still operate the blinds through Google Home and Alexa though, but both devices only recognize the name of one of the blinds and not the other.

The app works great with the Trådfri lights and plugs. There are a few things I would like to see changed, but overall it's a solid app. I'd like to be able to add the gateway to a new phone without having to scan the qr code on the back of the device. It would also be nice to group devices in more than one room. I want to have the porch light and garage lights in the rooms "Front Porch" & "Garage" & also have them in a group named "Front". Overall, we LOVE the app & Trådfri lights & plugs.

It works! Smart home tech can be more trouble than it's worth (ahem Samsung), but this system has been super reliable, affordable, and intuitive. My family uses voice commands frequently via Google home. Tunable + dimmable white lights throughout the house, especially on night stands, provide a warm cozy feel. Remotes are always in reach. App is missing some advanced features, but the simplicity is part of the charm. Setup was quirky, but I haven't fiddled with it in over a year.
