| 2024-10-29 |  | | Pocket used to be great on my e-ink device, but they needlessly removed page-flipping/pagination, a pointless move which ruined Pocket on e-ink devices (a large market of readers, the very people Pocket appeals to, all given the finger). There's a developer response here from a year ago, well nothing's changed. I clung to Version 7 as long as I could, now it doesn't work, Pocket show no interest in restoring it. |

I can put in the exact title of a saved article and it will not show up in the first batch of results. I've never seen a worse search functionality. I only pay for premium bc of the extra highlights but I'm considering stopping my sub so my search will work again. |
| 2024-10-17 |  | | Every time I try to sync I get a BAD REQUEST Error. Every update seems to add to the problems. Previous review: I think the latest version that worked for me was 8.1.1.0. Now I can't download web view (now called original view) so I have to be online (which defeats the purpose of saving for later) and on top of that most of the time the article view is not available! And also if a site demands loging in to view the page, I need to be online and log-in every single time! |

UPDATE: As another wrote, it seems to be getting worse with each update. For some unknown reason article view isn't working. PREVIOUS REVIEW: After years of using, I made the mistake of updating this app, and now you have to sign up to use it. Uninstalled. |

Instead of QoL improvements - let's force Mozilla accounts on people (hint: If people want Mozilla, they'd download the browser). Instead of fixing the wonky page detection and save algorithm - how about we stick our Bay Area fauxtivism onto everyone. So, yeah, Pocket, it's been real and it's been good, but for years you haven't really been either so adios... |
| 2024-06-07 |  | | Major Bug (still present a year later 6/7/24) .... When I use the "Find in page" feature with a dark theme, I cannot see what I type in to find. The text that I type is black on black so it makes using that feature near impossible with a dark theme. I have to change back to a White theme simply to search inside a given article. You guys have time to change your icon to rainbow (ok, I'm fine with that) but not fix this issue? Otherwise it's a great app but I can't rate it higher. |
| 2023-07-31 |  | | This app has quickly lost features that made it great, been using for years and not sure what the devs are doing. View Original now just send you out of the app, not good. The is no more page flipping. Full screen isn't true full screen, it still shows the top status bar of android. All these things were not problems till recently, wish I could roll back the app. |

In the recent past, Ive been unable to LISTEN to most articles on my phone e.g. from the New York Times and other sites, which I WAS able to just a week ago! It gives an error, There was a problem playing this article. Try switching to a different voice. RETRY. Bottomline: unable to listen to articles which I love to do while doing chores :) |
| 2023-05-01 |  | | Sadly, I must agree with the other recent reviews. The latest update has trashed this app. I've loved this app since it was Read It Later, but I can't say that anymore. I used to be able to force most pages into article view for when the app got it wrong and tried to open the web view. Now I don't have that option anymore. Saving links within an article is no longer straightforward either. I'm disappointed. |
| 2023-04-20 |  | | The recent Apr. 2023 update removed two nice features. (1) The app no longer shows the scroll bar. This was useful to see how long an article is. (2) Long-pressing on a link no longer shows you the URL (well, it does, but it's directly under your fingertip, so it's effectively not visible). Sad to see an otherwise great app getting worse. |
