2024-11-22 | Matt | Ever since updating the app, nothing works. Trying to turn on any sound and light instantly turns back off. Update: It has now been two weeks since I emailed them per their reply to this review, and I've received no contact whatsoever about my issue. Clearly they don't care at all and the response was just PR BS.
2024-11-21 | Antonio | Been doing well these days. Still has issues from time to time when switching back to the app where it loses connections, but it's not the worst. Good sounds and sounds and features, just wish all audio stuff had the option to play for more than 1 hour without having to start it up again, but overall a nice device.
2024-11-19 | Jen Bent | There's always issues with the wifi and issues changing or setting up routines. It always says error or that it's disconnected from wifi and then when I try to reconnect it gives me error messages. I want to slightly adjust time or noise, it won't let me or says it's on but it's not.
2024-11-17 | Wes Hunt | The Hatch is simple and not super feature rich. I like the light and sound programmablility, however most of it could be replaced with a google home or Alexa. The app tries to upsell WAY TOO MUCH. That's actually my least favorite thing. It tries to sell you fancy white noises instead of actually telling you what it can do
2024-11-16 | Lily Shakespeare | Some suggestions for improvement: 1. Allow changing the start/end time of a program without keeping the duration time (I've changed it several times without realizing and sound machine will stop earlier than I intended, waking my daughter up) 2. Have an option for gradual increase/decrease of sound like leading up to bedtime or waking up from nap program
2024-11-11 | Janine Bennett | I love our hatch! We have two, one for each kid, and they've been so helpful in coping with fear of the dark. They both like to have the light and sound on. Having options for different kinds of noise or lullabies is great and the kids are old enough now to ask for which they like and want for any given night. It's also great to have the birdsong which we use as a gentle alarm on school days. The toddler lock is great! It would be nice if you could add other songs or noise to it through the app.
2024-11-06 | S K | Updating my original review, as even with premium there are still so few simple alarm sound options. I now have become so accustomed to the alarms that I sleep through them. Would really appreciate some calm, gentle sounds to use as new alarms. The flute, birds and ocean sounds are great, but need new sounds that are not jarring and allow for an enjoyable wake up.
2024-11-03 | Janeal Shippen | We have 2 hatches. (1st & 2nd gen) The 1st gen interface is MUCH better! 2nd gen is weird and messy. Plus, it seems hatch is increasingly greedy. Initially, the free version had 50ish options. Lullabies, sounds, music, & a few stories. Each update, they put more behind the paywall. 2 years later there are a mere 19 options. 3 lullabies, & 16 sounds. I could buy a basic $25 sound machine and get the same options. Not worth what you pay. Tries to force subscription. Would not recommend.
2024-11-03 | Danicia Esparza | The sound is cutting in an out. The volume will be at a 40 but will fluctuate up higher every few seconds. Not a consistent sound. I tried resetting it and Unplugging it. Nothing. On my hunt for a new sound machine i guess. Only had this one for about 2 years. I thought it would last longer than that.
2024-11-02 | r | Buggy interface setting up the light. Constantly shows the unit disconnecting, could be hardware too. Slow to connect to wifi or Bluetooth. When an error occurs in setup you have to start from the beginning, not the last failed step. Update 01/05/2024 still a hot mess of failures and issues update 11/02- wow somehow it keeps getting worse. The ability to change sounds while a routine is running is broken. It now forces a whole new routine. |
