2024-11-16 | R Wilson | It's everything I wanted in a route planner for hiking. Simple and reasonably intuitive. The map itself is very accurate and the GPS accuracy is excellent. (looking at you, google maps....) Being able to draw routes with your finger straight into the app saves having to map on PC and export to phone, although you can do this too. Elevation profile is awesome. Calculates time based on adjustable average speed. These are just free features, I will definitely look into upgrading this awesome app.
2024-11-03 | Paul Kujawa | Route planning UI recently became awful. Used to auto-snap to the sidewalk (where people run) but now snaps to the middle of the road, with no way to change this. Once a segment snaps into place, it cannot be changed in any way; only deleted.
2024-10-27 | Andrew Cruise | fantastic walk planning app. create walks starting from wherever you are. Can be a lucky dip in comparison to copying someone else's walk, but more of an adventure.
2024-09-10 | Vicki B | First time really using an app like this. There are some missing trails at the Audubon at Riverlands in West Alton, Missouri, and what is shown is confusing, especially across the Riverlands Way road in the grassy area. I have a better view of the mowed trails via Google Satellite through the Geocaching app and c:geo app. This app does seem to have potential.
2024-08-25 | Amanda Bryan | My first introduction to Footpath was using it to create 2 weeks worth of walking tours around London. It worked so well! I adopted it when I decided to start running. I enter the route before each race and in the last fun run I did, I was the only one from my group that didn't get lost. I'm still learning new ways to use it and am currently playing around with importing and exporting routes. Great app. Thank you!
2024-05-21 | DavidPrice PSU | Simple, easy to use, does precisely what I hoped it would do. I've gotten a couple of timeout hiccups, but when I zoom in and/or make shorter entries, I have no problem at all. I particularly like that there are in-town trails on this, too, so I can venture off of my streets into a known local path. Altogether a superior product for my uses, which primarily is relatively accurately estimating the length of a walk or run in areas known to me.
2024-02-25 | Adam Brasher | Finally cancelled my subscription to the premium version after a year as the app has just gotten buggier and buggier to the point of being unusable. Constant "timeout" errors when trying to create a route that makes the process incredibly time consuming, and random crashes while navigating without any warning or notification.
2023-11-12 | PG | Not working, at all, after Nov 10th upgrade. Galaxy s23 Ultra. Previously had a horrendous bug. Trying to map route, if you came close to starting point, map would zoom out to full town zoom, forcing tedious zoom back to individual-streets zoom. I alerted Dev, months ago; no response. One of 2 apps to which I subscribed. Never again. Extra star bc it *was* great for years.
2023-10-06 | Eric | The app is OK, not greatest thing but not the worst. We do have the premium version for turn by turn directions. It sometimes will not navigate me correctly when doing repeats around blocks (it cuts me short by one lap). I haven't seen a decent upgrade in over a year where functionalities were added. Would like an option to repeat planned routes. When getting off route it oftentimes takes 30 seconds to send a correction prompt.
2023-09-15 | t ega | (this for free version) Ok app, easy to use and good for tracking runs. My main issue is it will occasionally jump distance, meaning it thinks I've gone further than I did. Several times I'll be about 4 minutes in and it will notify me of my first mile; I'm in decent shape, but not that fast. If that were fixed, or I had to ability to manually edit the data on my runs, I wouldn't care all that much. |
