2024-09-16 | J ATats 77 | Ex Astris is a cool jrpg. The story and setting are familiar yet feel unique. I was surprised by this title continuously as I played it. While not perfect, there is a lot to love here! I loved the attention to detail that went into its turn based system and the effects. This attention to detail is seen throughout the game. There are a lot of performance options and cloud save. Runs great on Samsung A25. Easily worth the purchase. I hope to see more games of this caliber from this developer.
2024-09-06 | Ryan Whatley-Loveall | It's very pretty, it's just not a very good game. The combat system is kind of an enigma and there are lots of bells and whistles that don't seem to do anything (switching between wave and particle modes in combat for example) and the equipment and growth systems are depressingly generic despite being complicated and grand. and it crashes a lot. The story is a confusing mess. Like film that was supposed to be 20 books but got one movie to convey the entire plot.
2024-07-08 | Lener Link | Very interesting game. Love how simple the combat is at first but can get as complex as far as you can take it. Story is ok (though I'm still working through it but seems to have potential) Lost my data twice due to external forces, so remember to save to the cloud often.
2024-05-19 | ExiMaster | Review after the 1.1 patch. Much better immersion with the new cutscenes, and much smoother combat. It's still unfortunate this is a mobile only title. Art, characters, and environment are pretty to look at. Music, SFX, and world building will remain memorable. After this patch, character swapping can now randomly fail (character rotates and doesn't move) forcing you to get hit by red/blue parry. I still want to see more of this world, hope it doesn't just end and die out as a singleplayer game.
2024-03-25 | VR FOB | So I'll change my review if things change but I'm not even through the tutorial and am loving it. I said if arknights released a paid game I would buy it 100 percent, considering I enjoy arknights for free so much. At this point I'm all over anything gryphline does. There are a few bugs, namely a crash that just freezes. I can hear the buttons working but the screens frozen. There is a bug with yans holes in skirt and vi3 stomach glitching. Also some frame drops? Still 5 stars I love it.
2024-03-08 | lin thu rein | Man game really feels unfinished. I really like arknight ip so I buy this but there are bug too. Like in second fight my screen is frozen. Not because of my phone cos. I always frozen at except same place. I watch YouTube and it seen it is supposed to play tutorial there and yet nothing pop up in my screen which made the game freeze. I gonna try to reinstall but you guys need to fix your game too
2024-03-04 | Sweet S | The story is good The character are interesting : funny, emotional and beautiful (but I feel like you can add more relief into Yan and Vi³... Also where is the conclusion for side character?) Sceneries are beautiful The gameplay was addicting but there is clearly some miss about the air combo, maybe More moveset or adjust lift skill's hit box to lift downed ennemies Maybe add some indication to side story quest to not miss them Overall, a nice ride Thanks Hypergryph Where is the new game+?
2024-03-03 | Wolf Smith | edit: the parry needs a huge rework, you can time parries perfectly with the glow of an attack and still get hit & a lot of enemies attacks are way too fast. you don't even get a chance to register a block or change to a diff character before getting hit. needs to be slower & more forgiving. I don't appreciate taking hits when I block perfectly. big boss fights also need rework to not be so insanely difficult like Starling, etc. I'm liking the game so far, just needs a lot more work. 👍
2024-03-03 | Benjamin Owings | So, I just beat the game. It took around 20 hours for me, doing every sidequest I could find. All in all, it was worth the price. For a bit more detail, though, the combat is its selling point 100%. It's simple and fluid, and rewards experimentation. The exploration was limited, but it was fun to try and find all the hidden treasures. The story and translation definitely holds it back in terms of recommending it to others. Final thoughts. Fun game that could use a bit of polish.
2024-03-02 | NewVirtue | The combat is pretty great but it's scattered by lots of story and world building. I get that it's an RPG, but I find that I'm often forcing myself to push through the story without ever really being drawn in. The world building with new words for every person place and thing is more confusing then intriguing. Only like an hour or 2 in but nothing so far as made me care about the characters or curious about the world. |
