2024-11-14 | Pippa Sitkoff | This app is insanely helpful. I enjoy writing, so what I use it for is recording thoughts and story ideas as I go through my busy day. I love how easy it is to select all of the text and copy it to a separate file for later editing, and that it has an offline mode. My only wish is that I could use it with my phone screen off and/or in the background, so that when another app opens and I don't realize it the recording won't stop. My battery would appreciate it, too.
2024-11-12 | DBunji Fromartz | Works great but for some reason I have to go to Google Play to search it and then open it. I cannot find it in my regular list of apps. I can turn it on by going to settings, that takes 4 clicks + 2 scrolls. Your open settings, that takes two steps, then scroll to and click accessibility, scroll down to live transcribe and click yet again. So it's quicker to use Google Play as transcribe is always my top search. The scrolling uses the mist time.
2024-09-25 | Rudy D Borboa | I'm still trying to get s handle on this app. I have to say, the speed and spelling accuracy of this app blows me away. I can have the TV going in the room and be talking to two people and the app is recording , in real time, every word . Of the TV, of me , and whomever else is conversing. I'd like to have better / more options to control its settings. Right now, I've got s floating button on my screen. I do not want it there. II cannot figure out if it's a bug in the app, or feature.
2024-09-09 | Emily P | Some reason I always thought it transcribed end of story. Turns out it saves the whole thing. It has been horrid it is constantly so way off base even with easy words! It makes the conversation more complicated than if I just tried my best to hear what's going on. Not a fan that it keeps a history. Maybe some day there'll be an app that actually helps. What makes it worse? It's constantly erasing and changing things 3 paragraphs behind convo! It's a whirlwind
2024-07-28 | Allen | I think it's a good idea for those who need the assistance. I find it intrusive, and frankly I don't even know how the app. wound up on my device. I although have tried the features, and I said the features are excellent for those that are challenged by sight loss or loss of hearing.
2024-07-18 | Amitanand Aiyer | Great app. Really useful for transcribing speech to words to communicate with seniors who can't hear. Support multiple languages: primary/secondary and can switch between the two. Would be even better if it allowed/detected for cases where we may use one or two words from the secondary language when speaking in primary and vice versa. it does a good job when we stick to one language. But could improve handling speech with a few words from other (secondary) languages.
2024-07-12 | Deborah Heemstra | I completely depend on this app. I've been using it for the last four years for all face-to-face conversation and love it. Thank you for creating it. If I were to ask for one improvement it would be to the benefit of the millions of us deaf who speak too loudly (or softly). The Current Level indicator could be improved for example to show colored alerts when your voice is spiking 10 decs above ambient noise (sure to be appreciated at concerts but not in hospitals or meetings)
2024-06-25 | Karen and the Woo Train | I am ADHD and have a hard time remembering what I hear in a class or taking effective notes. I found Live Transcribe to be a great help to me in this area and I was able to learn much better when I used it. That is, until it stopped working. I've tried updating, removing and reinstalling, everything I can think of an nothing has worked. I'm very sad.
2024-06-14 | Marlene T | Edit: This is one of the better apps for the deaf. It gets words wrong sometimes, but I need to use it daily. Due to Meniere's Syndrome, hearing aids don't work right & I don't know sign language. They fixed the secondary language to choose "None" so that English USA will be my only choice. (Thank you!). My microphone stopped working on my cell phone, and I thought it was the app, but it is my phone. I was still helped almost immediately by the team's customer service.
2024-06-14 | Charleen | Good app. Sometimes is off on a few words. My main issue with this app and why I'm looking for another is that it only keeps the transaction for 3 days max. I can't copy the notes that fast. I have a life, can't spend 3 days just copying notes on 2 to 5 hours of dictation. Other than that I could have delt with the words it doesn't quite get right. |
