2024-12-14 | Logan Hunt | Okay, so I revised my review, but this is a bug and should probably be fixed. I had to reinstall the app and forget the device, but I have the features back, it wasn't properly detecting them as pixel buds I believe, so this should be fixed. 4(edit, 3) Stars, can be changed to 5 if check notifications by hold button is added back. I now must add that ANC control doesn't work at all, which is especially inconvenient when just wearing left bud, which is set to assistant. Decreased to 3 stars.
2024-12-13 | Jeremy | I had issues and did an RMA for buds pro 2. This fixed them. However now I have new ones seemed to be app related. Sometimes one touch play and pause won't work. Sometimes taking earbud out will stop playing, other times not. Occasional problems with one ear not playing audio. These issues don't happen on Google TV playback so it must be the app. Get it together, Google! I'm on a Pixel 9 and still doesn't work as advertised!
2024-12-12 | Jeffery Pardue | This is just basically a shortcut to the Bluetooth menu and connects to both two devices like the Google pixel buds. I don't use pixel buds because that type of headphones fall out of my ear when I'm eating or not paying attention. I like headphones with over-the-ear like the edifier W800BT plus. The plus version it basically USB C whereas the original W800BT is the USB micro B.
2024-12-01 | Max Solofnenko | The app does not pull up anything that the app store advertises. When I first opened it, it allowed me to change each bud controlled transparency and which one controlled Google assistant. Now all it does is opens the same settings as pressing Bluetooth then clicking the cog next to the buds that allows you to only change spatial audio, head tracking phone calls, media audio, etc. The app doesn't even show me how charged the buds not case is. The app is as useful as using a grape to fight a war.
2024-11-30 | Ty Robertson | The hardware on Pixel Buds is fine. The software is not great. It kills me that there is no easy way to tell how much battery your case has left. If you time it, you can see the percentage pop up on screen for a brief instant when you put the buds away. All the Google Assistant integrations can be very disruptive and remains the worst think about these by far.
2024-11-29 | kay brown | This app is terribly disappointing! I have had my pixel buds for a while connected to my Samsung phone, and it seems the app was better functioning then the for me. I upgraded my phone to the pixel 9 and now it has less options in it which makes 0 sense. I am not sure if it was an upgrade to the app or something else but it's frustrating! I cannot access the it's location anymore. - Google LLC responded with generic help link which did not help, as it did not have anything on my issue.
2024-11-27 | Joel Schroeder | Google ruined this product for me by removing the ability to hear notifications by pressing the buds. I'm often in environments where I can't speak to assistant out loud or it can't hear me, being able to activate it silently was my favorite feature and very useful. They had no good reason to remove it and I feel ripped off that I spent money on these partly because of this feature and they killed it.
2024-11-23 | Nichole Budd | Head phones and app are terrible! Ear buds are heavy! Don't stay in the ear, when trying to adjust them you accidentally turn them off since they work to touch. Extremely annoying, charger buds app I would give 0 stars if I could. App sucks! Doesn't tell if your ear buds are charging, doesn't help you locate the Head phones or control them in any way. Ear buds barley connect just a complete waste of money!
2024-11-21 | Pasha Aksoy | app lacks all functionality and does not look at all like the advertising screenshots i can turn on spatial audio thats about all... i was told to submit feedback, but the option to submit feedback is missing on my pixel 7 pro. no option for "more settings" once clicking the cog in connnected devices for the buds. no option for feedback. ear bud emits an ear piercing screech when pressed sometimes, guessing it has to do with the "seal" when in transparency mode . terrible
2024-11-21 | Lex Welch | Pixel Buds Pro 2 NEEDS an update. The anc is not balanced and/or strong enough. The left bud always FEELS as though it's falling out, when in reality it's fine. The issue is the noise cancellation. Lets more sound through the left bud creating a feeling as though the seal is broken. Seems like something that can be easily fixed with the software update. Google, I do hope you hear me as you can keep customers with what I can only assume is a simple update to the firmware |
