2024-11-19 | Lovely K | I'm having difficulty with meet right now and im starting to get frustrated. My Google meet has been working ok but all of a sudden it's not allowing me to communicate with only one specific person (which is my dad) he can send me messages and I receive them but it won't allow me to send my response back out. It keeps saying something like " Cannot connect you to this call" I deleted and updated the app twice just to be able to say something to him before it starts acting up again. Help please?
2024-11-19 | Felicia Mcduffey | Google Meet used to be great when I could just make video calls and texts similar to FaceTime. Now,all I see is the message "you're calling someone who can't receive calls" for every single contact. It worked just fine a few weeks ago, It's also inconvenient to send links to join a call.
2024-11-19 | Ryan DeMaderios | New update is a huge step backwards. This has been my "go-to" app for all video calls since the Duo days and unfortunately since the shift to "Meet Calls" and trying to copy zoom/teams for whatever reason, many of the features and functionality of the app don't work as smoothly as it used to. Even leaving a video message after a call isn't answered doesn't happen. I have to go back into the "conversation" now and then record a video whereas before it was prompted if someone didn't answer.
2024-11-16 | Jacob Teeter | This app used to be great when it was duo and still was great when it was "legacy calls" but ever since they switched over to everyone using meet calls, it's been nothing but awful. If others call me they can hear themselves. If I call them they can't hear me. No matter who calls video and audio quality is way down. And don't even get me started on the new interface that's somehow "simpler"? They had such a great app but of course Google being Google, they had to go and mess everything up
2024-11-16 | Joe D | I never had an issue until meet moved to its new call style. I used meet for a normal video call between two people it was perfect for that. Now the push for the "corporate" meeting style video call has dropped the call quality significantly. The UI is very cluttered, video is not clear, especially if there is low light. The audio has become choppy. I wish this app could go back to "legacy" calling. My phone no longer receives meet calls either. Look for a different video calling app.
2024-11-13 | Terri Nash | Pretty good video call, audio, message, group link quality and more!!! Update: 11/12/2024 I dropped a couple of stars because I don't like the update. If it's not broke, don't try and fix it. I don't like the new layout, or the fact that I can't see the time that shows how long you're been on a video call.
2024-11-12 | Kevin Wilson | The app seems to go from bad to worse. This latest version somehow makes my volume button only work on the phone volume and not media. So even after I close the app snd open say a music app or Instagram and try to turn the volume down it doesn't work. I have to go back and force close Meet to get the volume button to work as it's supposed to. Plus the app barely opens the messages. Sometimes it's just a blank gray screen. And messages are sometimes stuck in "Sending" or "sent" mode. Come on.
2024-11-12 | Link | Seems to be a bug with the latest update. If you turn on the additional encryption setting and call a contact, they can not hear you until you turn it off. I tried, power cycling the phone. Force closing any and all apps accessing microphone, took-away and returned mic permissions to the meet app and none of these steps got the microphone working again until I went into my Meet app settings and turned off the additional encryption. It worked up until this current version though.
2024-11-11 | Jackson Rabun | Google Meet works great on mobile devices. However, the Android TV version seems to be a buggy mess. When using the latest version of the app, I'm never prompted to select my Google account when opening the app for the first time. Attempting to manually select the Google account to use for calling always fails with an error. I switched to an older version of app, and now I'm at least able to select my Google account and make calls. However, I'm not able to hear any audio (as mentioned by others)
2024-11-08 | KIMBERLY WILLIAMS | TRASH!!! Quality is terrible since the update. The calls don't even come through consistently anymore and the switch to meeting instead of legacy was the worst. There should definitely be 2 modes for this app. It completely defeats the purpose of using this app for one-to-one calls. Looking for something else. |
