| 2024-11-27 |  | | It is really frustrating that the directions will tell you to stay on a road (like not exiting or turning). This has caused many missed exits because it will tell you to stay on the road right before an exit giving you no time to get over when on the highway. If I'm using maps, I need to know where to turn, not where to not turn. Editing to add the fact that the app will automatically change your route. I don't stare at my phone while driving so I don't always see the option to decline it. |

Now I have three ads covering most of the screen when I open the app. One of them is particularly offensive and I really hate seeing it every time. Please add in your comment if you have a good alternative to Google Maps 🙏 |

It has a habit of sending you incredibly far out of your way without allowing you to change the route in the app unless you start going the alternate way anyway. For example taking me 34 miles, 46 minutes in a huge circle to get to my destination that is only 6.6 miles away going to other way. right down the road! It wants me to go through 2 other towns and back again instead of directly to it!!! What a stupid, usless app. So disappointed in this map. |

So what was on the left now looks like it's on the right and it's completely worthless, especially when the "rate your trip" thing pops up and blocks the entire screen so you are on your own at that point. Not to mention that if I have everything on my phone in dark mode it will still insist on going into light mode during the day. Even though that makes it almost impossible to read anything at all. App is bad, you should feel bad |

Ad stuffing locations into my results and even on my navigation after I select a different destination! I'm trying to navigate the route and the ad results are in the way. It's a distracting safety issue while driving. It gets worse year after year. I'm done and leaving google products. |
| 2024-11-26 |  | | Give an option do disable incident reporting and popups that ask me to confirm if stalled vehicles or slow traffic is still present or not. It is becoming bothersome. I dont want to have my music or podcasts stopped every five minutes so that I can be alerted that there is a vehicle on the side of the road a mile away. Just give me the option to turn off incident reports altogether. If I wanted these features, i would have used Waze. But. I. do. not. want. these. features. |
| 2024-11-25 |  | | Today while driving on I-90 google maps was nice enough to remind me to keep going straight on the highway. There was no exits or other ways to deviate my current course but since it has told me to go straight for approximately two minutes I amost put my car in reverse and started driving backwards. This has come in hand other times like when I thought I should drive off a bridge into a river or turn into a tree in heavily wooded areas. Thanks for keeping me well informed and safe Google Maps! |
| 2024-11-24 |  | | I don't know what is going on over at Google, but the severe degradation of this app over the past 4 years has been beyond unacceptable. Consistently incorrect directions, extremely delayed direction dictation (likely due to the insistence on using the most verbose instructions possible), the lag, the failure to update locations months after they should've been updated... It's pathetic. It's time to give up on Google and look for a competent alternative. |

What's the use of this app when it no longer gives turn by turn directions. Zero stars if possible..........Your suggestion didn't work. Still no Voice Navigation..... |
| 2024-11-23 |  | | Where did the controls go for my media playback in driving mode?? Maps is great for a lot of things, but in the past years it's gotten worse as theyve changed and removed settings. There is no way to turn on the media playback controls now that they are gone, and googles website directions are incorrect because they said there's a setting to turn it back on that's not there. Its frustrating and unsafe as I have to look at my phone more now to control my music instead just hitting pause |
