2024-11-29 | Katt Ness | App performance seems a bit buggy. Features are inconsistent. I wish the political articles weren't the first thing I saw every time I open the app. It's really toxic. But the rest of the news is easily customizable, moreso than any other news app I've tried. Fix the bugs and I'll bump up my rating.
2024-11-28 | Andrew Zebroski | Why do ad's that say "scroll to continue" appear that will NOT scroll past the add back to the article. The app is also littered with ad's that don't go a away when you try and "X" out of them. Google should be held accountable for all the extra revenue they get from misclicked ad's that people don't click. All ad's should have an additional button within the ad's asking if you intended to click on the ad. Only then should Google get that ad revenue.
2024-11-28 | Nick Danforth | This app used to be something my family and I truly loved. Being able to choose to view more articles like the one I'm enjoying have been stripped from the app & more political and advertising oriented content has become unavoidable. The entire technology section is terrible & basically one giant ad. The science section somehow always has an extremely limited number of articles when there's more interesting topics in some solo publications alone. This is a far cry from what Google News once was.
2024-11-25 | Leo Lopes | Fast forward and back up are severely crippled, making smart devices less useful. I.e., I cannot skip 30s forward and back on my smartwatch, like I can when other audio apps (e.g. Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music) are playing. On Google News I can only skip the entire track (news source).
2024-11-23 | str8nineball | Sorting preferences - This app needs the ability to sort by release date. I searched one topic and I want to see the lastest. Its November and I'm seeing articles from May at the start. I had to scroll through May, July, August in random placing. I'd like newest first not 5 or 10 places down. With how tech savy Google is they at least be able to do that.
2024-11-22 | Zachary DeFeciani | I frequently get notifications for news articles, and when I click on them it brings me to my notifications page, but the article in the notification doesn't actually show up until I get another NEW notification and try to open that one. The most recent notifications are typically several hours old and refreshing the page does not bring up the most recent ones
2024-11-13 | Austin Isbell | The new scrolling ads ruined this app. It was a nearly perfect news reader, until what seemed like the latest update when scrolling ads were introduced to the reader. The new ads make it impossible to finish an article, as they end up blocking sections of the text out with no way to get it to reappear. Will be using a different news app until it's fixed (fingers crossed, hopes and prayers)!
2024-10-28 | Steve Wood | I like the ability to scroll the widget for the latest world, national, and local news. I like the ability to access one news item from multiple sources within the application. SUGGESTION: The ability to remove pictures on widgets would allow for more of the headlines to be visible on the widget. Therefore, those with poor vision can view more of the headline with font size and zoom features maximized.
2024-10-20 | Once Upon Whenever | Editorials about a married couple's solo international travel is not "news". This app shows a collection of limited headlines, doesnt allow you to turn off news about certain topics (e.g., politics), and the rest is filler fluff. Needs some serious upgrades and personalization options. It's indistinguishable from every other "news" app.
2024-09-20 | Ken Hammond | Since the last update I constantly get the Refresh button. It is very annoying. I mean after reading EVERY single story it appears. I have submitted feedback via the feedback form but got no response. Update.... Your reply was useless and did nothing to stop the problem. Thank you for you most recent reply but I have submitted feedback at least 12 times over the last month and heard NOTHING back. Can't you people get anything right? |
