| 2024-11-24 |  | | The app (and service) works pretty solid most of the time. Just make sure you have a decent Internet connection because it doesn't like caching things. It also doesn't like it when you attempt to send a message, but the service mode changes (Wi-Fi to #G or vice-versa). It really needs a way to queue a message with a spotty connection or auto retry of a failed message though. Also, photos send / receive at a fairly low resolution. |
| 2024-11-23 |  | | I have been using Google Voice for my business on my cell phone for over 10 years and although it has been painful at times it has continued to get better and better. I only wish that we could get video MMS messages sent in Full Resolution as when clients try to send descriptions of issues via my Google Voice number is seemingly looks like an old VHS tape. Obviously you can tell my age by the fact that I know what a VHS tape is.. 🤫 Keep up the good work Google! |
| 2024-11-20 |  | | 11/20/24 (Update): I had the 'Screen Calls' option on for a while, & it behaved as expected. After turning 'Screen Calls' off, though, numbers saved to a contact ARE screened, & all others are NOT. This means I have to wait for a contact's name to be announced and press 1 to accept the call (a hassle on a smart watch) while calls from scammers come through automatically. Screen Calls is OFF, but - even if it was on - this is exactly the opposite of how it should function. PLEASE HELP!! |
| 2024-11-20 |  | | Very solid and great app that my family and I have been using for more than 10 years. We love the simplicity and straightforwardness of the app. No fancy bells and whistles, and it remains steady, predictable, and dependable! My only complaint is that just starting an hour ago, I'm not receiving group texts properly. Its coming in as a string of numbers and letters. And this is happening for me in multiple group messages. I hope it can be fixed asap! |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | Works awesome! -10 years ago But it needs a serious update. I would like react to messages, and I don't want to get a message every time someone reacts to my messages. We(hubby and I) have been loyal Google Voice users since almost the beginning. Please catch us up with the times or replace it with something that is of the times. |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | I want to be able to use this, looks like it has many features my default phone app doesnt. ....but I dont know what its done to my phone. there is no option to make it my Default phone app in those settings, and now my phone RINGS BUT THERE IS NO WHERE TO ANSWER !! I just hear the ringing, then get notification that I've missed a call. business calls too! |
| 2024-11-16 |  | | Google voice has been my go to app for VoIP since day 1. I use it on my laptop with Chrome and have used it on many Android devices with no issues. I like that you get a different number besides your cell number too. I can send unlimited messages, make unlimited calls and receive pics, gifs, and files. When my mobile device doesn't have service somewhere, Google Voice backs me up. Thanks! I highly recommend this app versus text now or telegram. There's no ads, it's free and no scammers!! |
| 2024-11-10 |  | | Lazy development: keeps reverting to using wifi instead of carrier for calls, lacks basic functionality, like listing starred contacts first, speed dial, widget for direct messaging a contact, etc. Calls to my voice number often aren't forwarded to my cell number properly. I have left in-app feedback to this effect numerous times over the course of years, to no avail. I've had Google Voice for 14 years -- it has not been improved at all; it is clear they just don't care about making it better. |
| 2024-11-08 |  | | BT works fine with all other apps, including Google Phone, BUT NOT GVOICE. I already performed basic troubleshooting, which includes clearing cache and resetting app data, and uninstalling the app, rebooting the phone, and then reinstalling. This is on a OnePlus 7T running Android 12. Google boards don't help, and Reddit reports that this started with Android 12. Android 13 fixes it but my phone can't upgrade to that version. |
| 2024-11-04 |  | | I honestly think most of the reviews are fake because this is the most unreliable app ever. Always crashing, or "syncing" not allowing me to send pictures with my text messages, and worst of all, spam. Google allows spam/scam calls and messages, and I get them every single day. I honestly keep this app around in case I lose my phone and I need to retrieve contacts. |
