| 2024-11-30 |  | | I really want to like google assistant, but more often than not- the response I get is "I don't know how to help you"....very comforting lol. Phone numbers are wrong most of the time, talk to text types words I did not say, and messages get sent to people I am not trying to text. All available updates have been done. It may work great for some, it's not reliable for me living in the mountains and having a southern accent. Could be a me issue lol. Thats's my experience. Hope it helps :). |
| 2024-11-29 |  | | For whatever reason, "ok google" stops working on phone and android auto; i know it detect my voice command (as i can see there's small green dot at top right corner indicating mic is on) but the google assistant didn't pop up on the phone screen and the mic will just remains on. The only way is to restart the phone and it is a hassle considering i had to restart couple of time /day. On android auto, it the google assistant came on the screen but cannot detect my voice input. Please get it fix. |

One of the things that I cannot stand is the fact that there seems to be no way to shut off the screen prompt for quick phrases without disabling the quick phrase. I love using "stop" and "snooze" for alarms and timers, I often use "answer" and "decline" for incoming phone calls. I don't love that the prompt completely covers up the caller's name. It should be possible to disable the onscreen prompt. Also, the email listed in the app store is disabled. |
| 2024-11-25 |  | | Voice wake up has stopped working. I keep getting, "something went wrong" message. I can no longer use hands free google assistant while driving. This problem has been an issue for a long time now. My phone meets all the requirements to use google assistant. I've clearded the cache and even reinstalled the program. I home google can fix this problem. |
| 2024-11-20 |  | | 1) Every time I use it while using GMaps, it completely mutes my music/Spotify, I then need to restart my device to play my music. 2) doesn't read out loud results it finds on the web, just lists them which isn't helpful when driving out doing anything where you can't look at your screen. Not helpful, won't be using... seems to happen every time there's a device update and don't feel like spending the time to troubleshoot EVERY time. |

This has been going on for a while you think the glitch would be fixed but it still remains. Also you can only have gemini or assistant but not both they should really be one app. Other than that (even though these are kind of the main features🤦🏾♂️) yeah, it's very useful. |
| 2024-11-17 |  | | 3 tunes the charm, they say. as in it usually takes at least 3 attempts to get assistant to do the right thing. no, i don't want to be read the wiki page. no, i don't want my music played with YouTube. play my song on the same app I always play my songs on. figure out who I'm texting/calling and make l it work the first time. this used to be better and the assistant team managers should be ashamed. |
| 2024-11-16 |  | | I am giving a five-star because this app helped me transfer my data to a new phone and set it up, I could not do it without Google Assistant. The problem I am having now is that the settings notification is turned off, and I can't turn it on. I would like assistance in how to turn off the little sound the speakerphone makes when you tap on it, because I have sensitive ears and it is too loud and it is an annoying sound to me. Goodle Assistant went aoi, I think. |
| 2024-11-16 |  | | Used to be good once upon a time. I use it to control Google home and it used to work pretty well with limited flaws. Now it suddenly doesn't ever understand me, the same commands I used for YEARS suddenly it doesn't understand, or says "that device isn't set up yet". It is, and has been for YEARS. If I ask what device, it obviously doesn't understand what I'm saying. I have to find a new eco system for my smart devices because this is a daily headache. I can't adjust my thermostat without bs |
| 2024-11-15 |  | | No longer supported on S24 Ultra... Update: Issue was device putting apps into deep sleep. Ran across an issue with Google lense as well where it was stating no longer supported. Ran through uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing cache with no help. Checking apps slated for deep sleep, I saw multiple Google apps added. Moving them to never set to deep sleep should hopefully help the issue. Updating from 1 to 4 stars as it appears to have been a phone issue and not an app issue. |
