2024-12-01 | Qathryn Z | WHY, when editing a document that has tabs, when I try to drag and move the cursor to a sentence I want to edit, does does it me to the beginning or the document!? I can no longer drag the cursor. Have to tap and HOPE it lands on the exact right place, which as we know, tapping on a doc is not always so precise on phones. Docs now unusable for me. Do you people test ANYTHING???
2024-12-01 | Katianna Hebden | The app constantly stops allowing me to edit my own documents. I've done everything that Google recommends, and the only thing that works is to completely reinstall the app. I have to do this three or four times a day on occasion. It's awful. I'm going back to Dropbox. Dec 1, 2024: I came back to check, and it still hasn't been fixed. I would give another 1-star if I could.
2024-11-30 | Trent Fisher | After the most recent update (mid November 2024), the scroll bar on the mobile app does not appear until I go to edit the document. This makes trying to scroll to specific points in longer documents an annoyance as I either have to start typing to get access to the scroll bar, or scroll manually by swiping upwards repeatedly until I reach my destination. Please fix this asap, as it is ruining my user experience with your otherwise functional app.
2024-11-24 | Hershel Chocolate | ACTUAL worst writing app I've ever used. About a year ago writing here became insufferable and it's never been fixed. Random forced uppercase, backspace deletes the last 3 words OR mixes it up in some random jumble, it makes almost everything I write complete nonsense unless I stop and fix everything as it happens...And it's CONSTANT. This does not happen on any other writing app I use or even my phone notes or ANYTHING. Absolute trash I can't even use it anymore
2024-11-21 | Dat-Shiny Mudkip | I have to regularly uninstall and reinstall the app because it prevents me from editing documents that I have created and owned. This is the only solution to this problem I've found. This app used to be great and run flawlessly. Now they have a serious issue that has gone at least six months unpatched. Absolutely ridiculous. And despite regular "bug fixes" being added, they refuse to fix this one.
2024-11-11 | Corey Hill | An amazing application held down by a few annoying bugs. The first one is the application will randomly assign all documents as read only which requires me to clear the cache each time this happens. The second is the cursor only registers a click when I position my finger EXACTLY in an space which it can be. I can't touch somewhere after the end of a sentence, but exactly where it ends. All this occurred on my last phone too.
2024-11-08 | Mrs. Campos | Google docs has made great strides to improve itself where Microsoft Word has not. I find that it's key that the document updates regularly with two editors on task at the same time and yet it seems this is where it excels best. Unfortunately, there's a few downsides but where aren't there? There's always trade offs. Where the lack of organization limits the way this document can be formatted conveniently, it makes up for that in ease of access of tools in the manager bar.
2024-11-03 | Emma Lecher | I'm not sure what's going on but after a while, whenever I try to add new text in a table, random letters (or occasionally all of them depending on how fast/slow I type) get capitalized when they shouldn't be. This is very annoying. I'm not sure if this is a device-spefific issue or not but it should be fixed.
2024-10-28 | Northwick Ludi | This app has a FREQUENT glitch that prevents you from editing your own documents. There is no fix. It just randomly can't do the only thing it is supposed to do. You can reset your device, clear caches. It does not matter. Sometimes you just can't use this app to do its single function. So to whoever just replied to this comment, there are several posts about this exact issue on that forum and none of them have any solutions. Hope that helps!
2024-10-28 | Mandi Blackwell | App is no longer usable- there seems to be an error that pops up if you exceed a large word count limit, and it errors that it cannot perform grammar check, but it does this every time I try to type a word. Messaged from the app about, hoping for an update that fixes it, then back to 5 stars... I've written hundreds of thousands of words without issue till recently... (had to get the latest version...) on phone it makes it impossible to see what you're now typing due to where the error pops up. |
