| 2024-11-29 |  | | There isn't support help number. Following steps are clear on the nest panel as written for support help for seniors. I've followed directions to my best knowledge. It shouldn't be this hard to connect back internet. My upstairs work but downstairs doesn't. Working with the device trying to get to the panel has been bothersome and not user friendly with turning the dial and getting nowhere. I I've gone over troubleshooting several times and still at the beginning stage. |
| 2024-11-29 |  | | I've submitted feedback through the app multiple times with no response. The recorded video doesn't load. I'm paying extra for extended 24hr video and can't access any of it. I even tried clicking on the link you provided and get a 404 error. Apparently Google home does not support VPNs. I deleted the app and reinstalled. After reinstallation the recorded videos loaded. Though almost all forms of support block access from a VPN IP address! |
| 2024-11-28 |  | | This app is basically useless to me now except for setting schedules. I was using it, some years ago, to controll my 20 or something smart lights. It's impossible to do almost anything with the home app in this regard. Setting brightness and colour is so difficult I just use the native app for the light. Once I find an app to run schedules for the lights or just use the native apps I no longer need Home. Just a matter of time now, tired of waiting on Google to fix this. |
| 2024-11-28 |  | | Since end of 2020, they have destroyed the ability to play songs from YouTube music on all the Google devices at the same time. It was able to do this from 2017 to Oct 2020. Users can do it for a handful, but when it goes to all, e.g. In my case 16+ devices, home, home mini, and Chromecast, audio gets corrupted. This is a well known bug, in Quora, Reddit, and Google forums but they seem incompetent to fix it after 2 years. I have spent many hours working with them, but they seem apathetic... |
| 2024-11-28 |  | | Still a work in progress. They recently allowed me to migrate my Nest Cam IQ Indoor to Home (yay) but I can't use it in Automations (boo). For example, I wanted to have it turn on during my bedtime routine and turn off at wake up. That doesn't work yet, I get errors when try to add the camera. Hopefully.... |
| 2024-11-28 |  | | This app barely has any of the functionality of the Nest Camera app. I can't find ANYTHING easily. Scrolling through your timeline to a specific time forces the preview (where you actually see what you're looking for) to shrink down to a tiny little rectangle that I can't see anything on. It's ridiculous and I'm seriously looking to dump Nest and all these expensive @$$ cameras I bought for another brand. |
| 2024-11-27 |  | | This app has gone so far down hill. Nothing ever works. Constantly have to repeat myself. Things constantly unlink. It picks and chooses which lights in rooms go on. I'm sick of it. I went back to Android for the integration and it's garbage. Edit: If you guys spent as much time fixing the app as you did responding to these complaints, the thing would be mint by now. |
| 2024-11-27 |  | | Started using this app when I replaced my old doorbell camera, and my new one made me switch to Home. Nest never had problems, but this one is nothing but problems. frequently it will not show videos, won't load, or needs to be restarted. I've never been so disappointed with a Google product in my life. |
| 2024-11-27 |  | | Continues to show that my lights are offline, yet I can control them with their individual apps. I've unlinked and relinked them. Deleted the Google home storage data. Still same result. Idk what's going on, but it needs to be fixed. For real this time. Edit: things got corrected for a while but I'm back to having the same issue again. Can't control my Cync by GE smart lights all of a sudden. These issues are beginning to get infuriating. |
| 2024-11-27 |  | | Like so many others have stated, since Gemini took over, most all useful functionality has been lost. Non Google Smart home devices randomly disconnect and can't be used although their native apps still work. The recipe function is gone, was our most used function. I can't call nest from my phone anymore. It doesn't even ring the device. I can't broadcast from outside of our local wifi. Home no longer supports Disney+ so my kids can't ask it to watch shows. What is happening at Google?? |
