Here i am two years after this below post and still im more than happy with this app. Again thanks google, you guys always go above and beyond. Much appreciated. It does just what it says. This app quickly and effortlessly locates a missing device. I've had phones stolen, lost, you name it. Each time this app brought me right to it. I like the features where you can leave a personal message on the screen lock the phone up or just wipe it all together. Great app. Easy lay out easy navigation.

This does nothing. When I open Find My Device, it only shows me the name of my phone. There are no settings, no options, nothing. It literally says "this device" gives me the numerical details of the device, and literally no options other than being able to edit the name of my device. You cant lock, alarm, locate, etc. I can use it to locate a device no linger owned. That's it. There is no point to this app. Yes, I have all the necessary permissions. I have to use a different app instead.

Seriously Google, you are dropping the ball on this one! Especially now that there is no timeline on maps. That's the only reason to use maps at home. With all the advancement in tech you still cant find where my phone is or last location. I think yall are holding out to make this a paid app like google one. Yall hold my email hostage until i pay the 1.99 ransom. How about fixing photos so i can delete the duplicate pictures it saves when it backs up a phones memory. i cant sort them to delete.

I've loved this app since it was created. I can't begin to list all the times I've found mine and my friends missing, lost, or stolen phones. Not to mention the apps ability to lock your phone if you know it was stolen so the theif cannot reset the phone or steal your important information. I also love that you can manually go into your phone from the app and choose to hard reset yourself... Just in case. I will always recommend this app for anyone who loses things from time to time 🤯🤔😏

Good app, but there is a gap in security which is my reason for 3 stars. If your phone is not online, it cannot be reached to either ring or wipe it. Cannot be locked or anything else because it "cannot be reached". Why does it not give at least the last recorded/pinged location whether it can find it now or not?? If someone has your phone and they turn off the wifi or leave it on airplane mode or take off the location, you cannot find it or ring it or lock it. That seems like a huge loophole.

Is in its infant stages so I understand why it's bad. Presently, if I lost one of my devices, my earbuds, I couldn't use Find My to find it. I have to be connected to the device, with Bluetooth and location turned on to even use the app which isn't available on every device (work laptop anyone?). Even sitting right next to my earbuds, Find My couldn't make them make a sound. I'll be out of luck if I actually lost my devices because this app wouldn't help me find them.

This app shows promise, but I will wait to call it good. My first suggestion would be to get a Samsung phone and Smarttag2. The Samsung offering shows location history and when you map the location (it uses Google Maps), it also shows your location relative to the tag. If you are in an unfamiliar area, or one that doesn't map (such as a parking lot or large building) it is much harder to use. I think the software is just easier to use on Samsung. Also, it by default only works in crowded ar

I like the app but having some issues. I can't delete devices that I no longer have. I've followed all the instructions Google provides, but the delete/remove option doesn't appear. Also, please enable UWB support. I know not all phones and devices support it yet but for those devices that now do it is a huge improvement over the current location capabilities.

Meh. Sure, it shows where something last pinged but how about tying it into Maps? Tracking history would be super helpful! Geofencing so when something moves (tell me that my stuff got taken! And where it is on the map!!) would also be helpful. Also need more categories (or the ability to add custom ones) and be able to update/add pictures of items. So much potential for this app and yet it's so basic and terrible.

So many things wrong with this app. It would not load to let me find my Bluetooth tracker when I was in a location with no Internet or data. It says one tracker is nearby (correct), but shows it 10 miles away on the map (wrong). It recently told me two unknown trackers were following me. They turned out to be my keys and my backpack, known trackers.
