2024-12-12 | Katty Geltmeyer | #a11y: Can I help to improve this app by connecting it to Google lens & crowdsource so that these apps can deliver info to each other for improving them =training modus? I wish "guided frame" were included so that this technique can help to focus the camera on objects + it were possible to sign in for beta-versions outside the USA, Canada & UK. Thanks in advance. I'm very happy with the ability of reading handwritings!!!
2024-11-14 | Don M | This is no better than junk from the 90s. It talks worse than a speak and spell, can't recognize anything no matter how many libraries I have it download..
2024-11-04 | David Breach | Volume is so low in the app, there seems to be no settings to increase it. Clearing data doesn't help. Edit. I was able to fix it by installing an app called ultra volume which gives access to additional volume settings not available to the original android operating system.
2024-09-15 | Developer | Good but AI thinks rugs are wallets Edit: It also thinks my wall clock is a spider, the trash can is a bathtub, and my wardrobe is stairs. Edit 2: It can't tell the difference between lemon and lime. Edit 3: App will constantly detect the user's shoes
2024-07-26 | Basitsana Mabatwana | Hi, the app is nice, but it doesn't have food labeled mode for South Africa, so please add that country. And that's all I would like for you to do. And I guess the Explorer mode is in Beta. So that's why it's slow, but please add the food label Mode. for South Africa. So I as a blind person can use it too..
2024-02-13 | Zoe Taylor | I was pretty bummed to discover Lens had been changed to remove the OCR text to speech feature, but after some searching around, I learned that Lookout existed, and it's so much better than Lens ever was. As a legally blind (to near totally blind) Android user who was seriously considering switching to an iPhone for their accessibility, I'm so happy I found this, and can keep my favorite phone!
2023-11-09 | Alexis | When I updated your app yesterday there was a choice to increase or decrease a volume panel. There was also something that said ask a question. That has disappeared. What happened? Any ideas? ••••••• It's good • It can be improved • I suggest adding "zoom in / zoom out" for the "Discovery" option • At the moment it's picking up too many objects in its sight. • Also: It needs an easy access speed control slider and pitch control slider.
2023-09-05 | Chris Jain | Recent update is HORRIBLE. The old version was really helpful with some fixable flaws. The new version is HORRIBLE and a huge downgrade. No consideration has been provided in making it easy for blind person to navigate the app. The old version had an easy to use and intuitive (and a "talking") interface. This has all been thrown away. What a disappointment! (Note to designers: Blindfold yourself and try to use the app. If this isn't easy to do-then you have failed!) Any way to rollback?
2023-05-15 | suresh kumar | Hello Lookout team, I am a user of your Lookout app and I appreciate the work you are doing to help visually impaired people like me. I have a request for a feature that would make the app more useful for me. I would like to have a PDF-reader option in the app that can read aloud the text in PDF files. This would help me access important documents, books, and reports that are in PDF format. I understand that this may not be an easy feature to implement, but I hope you will consider it as a po
2022-08-26 | William Faust (Bill) | This is one of the most amazing apps I have ever used! I'm not even sure how I can easily describe all of its features, so I'll just give a quick overview. I find it fun to use. I am sure that those who have limited vision or even no vision at all could find this app incredibly easy to use and very very helpful. It has many modes. It can read labels on cans and other products and tell you what they are. He can tell you the ingredients. It can read the text in books, type written and handwritten |
