Use at your own risk. Playing audio at high volumes, especially for a prolonged amount of time, can destroy speakers and/or damage hearing. Some users HAVE reported destroyed speakers and earphones. If you hear distorted audio, lower the volume (but it may be too late).

This app does not work on most 4.2.1-4.3 devices. It should work on 4.4 and higher, as well as on devices below 4.2.1.

This is not for adjusting the speakerphone volume in phone calls (that has its own boost, I think), but for adjusting the volume of music, movies and apps.

When you set the boost to zero, Volume Booster will be off. The notification icon is just for ease of launching. If you don't like seeing the notification icon when Volume Booster is off, just go to Volume Booster's Settings and set it to appear only when Volume Booster is running.

Super user-friendly and works exactly as it should. It's incredibly powerful and refreshingly free of pop-up ads—practically none at all. The app features a very unobtrusive banner at the bottom that doesn’t impede or intrude on anything on your screen. It also offers a non-uniform boost setting that enhances voice clarity while potentially protecting your speakers. This app has everything you need. My only hope is that the developers continue to support it and don’t abandon such a lifesaver.

I absolutely love this app. It does exactly what it says it does. It does a great job of it. I use it in the car, on my phone, on my Bluetooth speaker, and certain headphones. Be careful though. The warngs are true. It actually can damage speakers if you push them too far. Good rule of thumb is, if it's a speaker you care about don't exceed a 40 percent boost. Fantastic tool though.

My ear buds have been getting quiet and this works very simply. I suggest nothing over a 20% boost otherwise voices will start to distort a good amount even if you lower your audio. Also it does warn(only in the settings) that anything above 40% boost may damage both your earbuds and your ears.
