2024-10-13 | martin gowdy | Yeti pro 4000 does not work new out of box. Requir s this app that can not connect to the yeti pro 4000. So what is the point of any of the products of they require an appointment to function. But then can not connect to the device that I am told need the app to function. I will give it one more day to try to resolve the connection issues. But at this point I could not in good conscience recommend goal zero products.
2024-09-08 | Kevin Mac | UPDATE: RECORD BREAKING RESPONSE!!! I salute whoever jumped on this issue, all is well again with my Yeti 🫡 Thank you for your timely response ⏱️---Latest update is stuck, my screen on my Yeti 1500x is stuck flashing uPd and it has made it useless because it turns the output power options off, I have this because I have life support equipment and this is my backup power.
2024-08-12 | R D | I have no idea what is wrong with this program. I've had the Yeti 1500x for maybe 2 years and all I've had is problems trying to use the program. I tried to use the direct connect and originally and would have problems trying to re-connect. After much struggle I would re-connect. Now it seems like you can't connect to the program at all. I have unpaired then tried to reconnect both in direct connect and also through the Wi-Fi it is so confusing and I can't pair it!
2024-08-01 | Nieko Biskner | When it works it's great. That said, the app frequently disconnects from my yeti goal zero 4000 prp. It will periodically decide to reconnect, however after going through multiple troubleshooting steps (full system factory reset, unpair device from app and reconnecting, reinstalling app, connecting via both local network and mobile ISP, assigning static LAN ip to device) nothing has seemed to fix the issue. Additionally, I have 2 tank 4000 units attached and they struggle to equalize.
2024-07-29 | LK | It would be nice if it could stay connected to the Yeti but it has been constantly disconnecting since receiving it. It would also be nice if it could remember the wifi password rather than making me re-enter it every time I have to try to reconnect it. Aside from that, it does the job to display the necessary information and to control the ports.
2024-07-27 | Jody Clements | The app connected the first time I tried it, and then never again. Actually saying it worked the first time is an exaggeration: the connection kept dropping every couple of minutes, but at least then it connected. Since then it just makes me go through the pairing process over and over again but fails when it tries to connect to the cloud. Neat app, but I can't use it for its intended purpose.
2024-03-18 | A Google user | Disappointing app from a good company. If you're in the same building as your Goal Zero product it works okay (not great), but of course you probably don't need it in that case. But when you actually try to use it when away from home to monitor power levels, it appears to display the same power level as when you were last home, then shows connection failed. I had someone check the actual power level and my Yeti device is working great and charging while providing pass-through power to my fridge.
2023-09-30 | Connor Rickett | Mostly useless. Requires Wi-Fi. No way to keep Wi-Fi on. Contains no useful info about charge rates, etc. Basically, it lets you toggle the buttons on the front of the device from your phone for a few minutes... if you hold down a much less accessible button under the top cover for four seconds.
2023-09-07 | Jerry Cohen | the app is ok, maybe. the app shows battery status. not the individual cells, whether they're balanced. maybe it's the app maybe it's the unit. battery life is short. And that could be because of inferior batteries you should be able to tell whether the cells are balanced or not for the price you're paying if it's the program it has to be rewritten then because anybody who knows anything wants to know that. Terrible app unit disconnected this morning tried reinstalling even. Deleted cache, forge
2023-01-06 | Nathan DuPre | I have always had issues getting my Yeti to pair (or re-paired) to the app. Takes 5-6 attempts on average. Once it is connected though it is pretty reliable, quick, and responsive. It's great to be able to monitor my battery level from my phone. I use it to back up my fridge and internet from the basement via the Home Integration Kit when we have an outage. Like right now. |
