I give it 2 stars because it worked for almost a year. The generator has wifi, but no matter how many times I reset, reconnect, or reboot, it won't communicate with the app. The generator IS connected to wifi, but it WON'T connect to the app. Officially useless now, except that the app reminds me every day that it can't connect to the generator. The sad part is that the developers don't seem to respond to issues or low ratings on the app.

Constant problem with connectivity. I follow the instructions to reconnect, but within a few days it disconnects again. I have gone through this failure to stay connected even though I have a new modem and even moved it to a nearby window... Oh and yes I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mobile app however the same problem persists.

The app worked great for the first 2 years. Now with the newest app my phone no longer is compatible with the app. I am not ready to purchase a new phone just for Generac. ALL of my other smart devices work with my phone. LG Fridge, Mitsubishi Heat Pump, Nest thermostat and others. I would call their rollout of the new app very inconsiderate of older Android phone users.
