DriveEasy needs a HUGE upgrade!! Can't use Google Maps at all, or it lowers your score! As a passenger, you can't touch your phone. It marks it as distracted driver, even when you change it to passenger role. If you’re parked and waiting, you still can't touch your phone or it's a distraction too. Hit a bump, and it says handling phone!! There needs to be a way to distinguish what you're doing. All the errors actually cost me more for the insurance rate. Needs fixed ASAP, not fair to customers.

The drive easy is annoying when your job is package delivery and you the passenger and not the driver. Also I use my phone to scan packages and take photo at each stop and it counts as if im on my phone and driving. It's annoying to go everyday and change to passenger. Score goes down and to disable, both cause increase in insurance policy. Looking for new insurance company too much if a hassle.

Been using the app for years with Drive Easy. Haven't had a problem until a couple of months ago when I had to re-enroll. It started saying every trip I had phone handling when my phone is mounted. I use my phone for music and Google maps when driving and always have it mounted in the car. After I posted the above, I started using a different device for navigation. My phone was in my bag the entire time and it STILL logged me as phone handling the entire drive. GEICO fix your damn app!

Easy drive is garbage, keep assigning my trips as other. And when I go changed to driver, I got a email from GEICO saying I changed my trips too many times and they will remove my discount if I change it again. Complete garbage. Update Nov 18: app got worse now after the recent update. Keeps saying I was handling my phone while it's on the phone holder the whole trip. I contacted customer service and they advised me to get a better phone holder.

Drive easy only picks up random trips. They cancelled it twice on me and I'm ready to give up the drive easy discount. Also, park and use your phone, get dinged. I'm in my own garage and cannot use my phone without getting dinged. You need to make sure you get out of the car and walk away before touching your phone or you will get dinged.

I use my phone completely hands free, no need to touch it while I'm driving and the app would know that. After an update now every time I get a phone call or make a call completely hands free the app would say phone handling. Annoying. It is more distracting to adjust the climate controls in the car than to make a phone call.......I don't even have to take my eyes off the road to make a phone call or receive one. When u reach destination, taking phone off holder counts as phone handling. Fix pls

This app has been having issues since I started using it. Everyday or at least every other day, I have to resign up for alerts & make sure that I'm me for the driveeasy & login portion. Another big issue is that drive easy keeps messing up! Multiple times already it has said i was "hard breaking" inside of a building, as well as, using my phone when I DO NOT. The fact that the only suggestion is to get rid of your drive easy plan is absolutely ridiculous.

I like the app. It does what it should. I like the feature of being able to access my insurance card without having to log in. One feature to add, make the ID screen lockable. Allow me to put the insurance card on screen, and lock it so the phone cannot be accessed until I unlock it. I am not sure if you hand the police you unlocked phone they would be allowed to search it, but why take that chance?
