| 2024-10-22 |  | | I was using c-map before but after using this I'll never go back. I like that the maps are a yearly fee and the app doesn't require you to subscribe. I also haven't encountered an issue with the app signing me out randomly while I'm in he backcountry. The GPS is also more reliable on this app. |

The Aqua app starts to initialize and quickly fails/closes. After 2 attempts to open, I received an error message from either my phone or Google Play store. Please help, I'd like to use Aqua Maps for my next sailing trip. Thank you |

| 2024-08-22 |  | | The lack of automatic routing is a deal breaker. Maps in Canada are incomplete and have significant GPS offsets. It is probably fine if you are 100% familiar with your area of navigation but dangerous if you are going to a new area. Also, Charts are not free during the trial - pay money for incomplete charts. Very sad. Run away fast from this until it gets at least 2010-level capabilities. EDIT: After response from developer, am removing the App and hoping for a refund for the inaccurate charts. |
| 2024-07-25 |  | | Pretty useful to pinpoint anchor spots. I was using it to import and display " bob tracks" and was excited to see they included. Apparently no one tested on android, because it doesn't function properly. Works good on iPhone, but sucks on Android. Also, the app locks up if you try to use an anchor alarm on Android. Works good on iPhone. |
| 2024-06-16 |  | | Can't import waypoints? Gpx or kmz kml? This isn't a chartplotter. This might be a chart viewer but you have to purchase charts. Opencpn, is better with free enc charts. Activecaptain is way better with import allowed. These guys are just after your money. Zero features. Worthless. |

It requires me to use the lowest screen zoom setting which makes the text on all other apps so small that I can't read it. So it's either A) change the screen zoom setting every time I open the app and change it back when I close the app or B) just find another app. I chose option B. |
| 2023-12-01 |  | | I installed this App and was not initially happy as maps I needed in Australia were not included, then after contacting the developer, I realised that I hadn't ticked a box in the settings. The developer was super helpful and offered help on various questions I had, I have now updated my review from 2 star to 5 star as I am very happy with Aquamap now that I understand how to use it. The website gave some great tips, which helped me understand more features that I didn't know about. |

It is a MUST HAVE for navigating the AICW! The Army Corps of Engineers does frequent surveys that are quickly posted to the Aqua Map charts, and are later posted to the official NOAA charts. The upgrade to Aqua Map Master allows real time display of NMEA 2000 instruments (depth sounder, AIS, etc.). Unfortunately the upgrade is only available on a subscription. |
