Older Bluetooth-capable Garmin navigators are compatible with the Garmin Smartphone Link app, and older Wi-Fi-enabled Garmin dash cams can access video footage through the Garmin VIRB app.

It's a good app, but a lot of things don't work the way you would think. Also, now that I fully understand how it works, my only gripe is that the device itself doesn't record far back enough when you say "Save video". The app is good, but the Garmin 67w camera I have needs to record 30 seconds PRIOR to when you say "Save Video", instead of 30 seconds after. Otherwise, the app and device are both very good. I'd give 5 stars if the above complaint I have is changed. This is still my main issue.

Functionally, I have no issue with this app. I am satisfied with how it interacts with my car's Garmin GPS device - real time traffic and alternate routes. However, I use the GPS only 2-3 road trips a year, yet the app insists on running in the background 24 hours a day. You cannot force kill it. This is arrogance on the part of the developer.

I'm a home health nurse & depend on gps. This app sends me the long way, tries to send me where there aren't even roads (golf cart paths), even in circles. Lets also mention the constant beeping, it repeats itself every 1/4 mile. It's horrible to pay $300 for a device that is a total waste of money. Stick to Google maps on your phone.
