2024-11-20 | Gary G | Another developer screws up a perfectly fine interface. Looks like I'm not the only one saddened and disappointed at the latest update, which actually increased opacity of the email accounts, which is the exact opposite effect one would presume consumers desire in their email client. I suggest adding conig settings or some sort of skin option to recover from this epic failure. Will start shopping for a new client soon.
2024-11-05 | Dan Gilliam | No. Just, no. It went from 5 stars to 1 in one version. The new interface is clunky and cumbersome, and unintuitive. The old interface was perfect, especially if you have multiple accounts. Please bring it back, make a legacy version, something. I am one inch away from going to another app and chalking this into the "Used to be amazing" list.
2024-11-03 | Bill Mungaven | The new interface is horrible. I have multiple GMail accounts and all I see is GM with no way to tell which is which. I don't memorize the account and color combinations. At least with the old interface I could see the account name and select the account I wanted. I've been a loyal K-9 Mail user for many years but I'm looking for a more user-friendly client now.
2024-11-02 | Alexander Hamilton | I have to downgrade to one star. Impossible to know if I have mail or not when the app fails to connect to the server. Whenever I check my phone I have an error message: "Authentication failed." So I have to eff with the app for a while until it self-corrects. There is nothing wrong with my phone or the server, but something is very wrong with the app.
2024-10-31 | Jim Rebensdorf | New interface is awful....now clicking on the hamburger menu shows a pill-style interface, and I can't tell which account I am looking at unless I click through each pill, one at a time. Just an awful change. Not sure how this got past UA testing, but at least give us an option to reskin if there is going to be such a mess to deal with, especially for users who do have mtiplr email accounts.
2024-10-30 | J Gilbert | Switched back to this from Blue Mail because they never responded to support emails. It's a decent alternative. However, the new UI is HIDEOUS! Also it takes a while for the number of unread emails to go away after reading/deleting them. Sometimes, deleted emails come back if the number of unread mails doesn't go away
2024-09-30 | na na | 9/30/24 1 star. Stopped working. No longer works with self signed certificates. And maybe has issues with older security protocol. No option provided to allow acceptance/by-pass the way we can on a browser. 9/23/22 4 Star. Has been working fine on new phone. I've setup ssh tunnel and access email via port forwarding. This has no impact on this app function. I got dozens of email boxes setup. Multiple signatures. Many alias email addresses. Multiple biz brands and domains.
2024-08-15 | A Google user | Worked great for years. Now does not work at all. Cannot see any mail. Totally broken with 5.8. Updating 3 years later. I stuck with version 5.6, and it worked great. I recently needed to switch to OATH2 authorization, so I needed to update K9. The "Unified Inbox" simply does not work for me. I have tried everything, and nothing allows me to download messages to the UI or to delete them. Server sync does not work at all in UI mode.I need to go to the individual accounts to do anything.
2024-08-14 | pourspelang | This is the only email app that actually works correctly. I've tried a bunch of others and they're all bloated, glitchy junk. Leave it to Mozilla and the open source/Linux world to actually make something that shows competence. I'm sure this app will be removed/discontinued because it makes all the others look like what they are: rubbish.
2024-07-18 | Guest One | Love the UI! I was so happy to see the Mozilla Thunderbird team take over K-9 Mail. I love how straightforward the UI is. My mail is clearly and concisely organized with no fluff. The only feature I'd love is straight out of Thunderbird. Please add the option for a password to read mail, and for the first email sent. Just like Thunderbird. This has killed Microsoft Outlook for me. Love it! Add passwords, and I'd be happy to come back and Five Star this! |
