2024-11-29 | Peter Firoozi | This is by far the most convenient ebook reader for Android. Bluelight filter, bluedict integration, dark mode, first letters bolding, custom colors, epub support, you name it! Unfortunately recently I discovered that the highlight option is no longer available!!! Which is a must-have feature for any form of serious study. (I really do not wish to switch to other apps but if I can't highlight I'll have no other choice) To the hardworking developer(s) of Librera: We need highlighting feature!
2024-11-11 | Chinemerem Chukwujekwu | This the Best Reading app. Been using for a long time and never plan on stopping. Suggestion: It will be nice if the app have a category feature where users can categorize books based on how they perceive the books. It could act like an invisible folder for group books based on how the users perceive them. Tags makes the screen look a little bit clustered. Therefore having a tab called "category" or something that captures the concept would be terrific in my own opinion.
2024-08-29 | Sareena Quintana | I absolutely love this app. Everything is customizable and doesn't charge a fee to do so like other apps. From the font, size, color, scrolling options, brightness, and so much more. It found and consolidated all of my previously downloaded books automatically and painlessly. But the best part of this app is the included widget, it turns my homescreen into an actual library, displaying each of my open books by their covers and takes me to each individual book from the home screen. Love this app
2024-06-11 | Sam Haggag | Great app. Two things though, I can't seem to choose a particular voice from my phone, like Google's, only Samsung's will work. And while voice reading, it doesn't highlight the word that's being read, that would be really nice if there's a way to do it. Does the pro version offer more features?
2024-04-19 | Rostyslav Lukan | It is awesome! It even have Google drive! It have profiles! There are tons of options! Interface needs to be studied, but I like to do it. Can't find out how to remove dictionary application from selection menu. Some of applications are not useful or duplicated several times. Text selection in dark mode is barely visible. But application still is awesome. It replaced two others.
2024-03-27 | diógenes laercio | The only thing that irks my reading a bit is the lack of highlighting options. Other than that, it's all around great, it even has a more privacy-agreeable version. Oh, and the musicians mode is truly a delight, very convenient, even popular music apps are lagging behind this in functionality; it really is a pain to read music on a smartphone and this does the trick, even pleasurable and more convenient than traditional paper, maybe devs should publish it as a stand alone.
2023-01-25 | R A | App is slow to start and loading book pages sometimes lag. There is no manual or instructions on using this app anywhere and with so many settings it is hard to know what is what. The app does not open to the book you are reading or the page and the page you left off on as other ebook apps do. The app seems to also be using a lot of data - and my ebooks are all in my phone's memory so there is no need for the app to be using my data. There also seems no way to shut that off.
2023-01-23 | E. Rikowa | On one hand,it's a very feature rich app. Works great on my e-reader,too. You can customise pretty much every aspect, and doesn't crash. On the other hand, the sorting option doesn't work - i.e. sorting by series doesn't put your library in any semblance of order at all; it's a mess. Also,on closing a book,I want the app to return me to the position of that book within my library. Instead,it returns me to the top every time. Cue a lot of needless scrolling. Reading progress doesn't update properly
2023-01-22 | Angela Kelly | One of the best Reader Apps I've found that is versatile and can do more than I need. At times it can be a bit to technical with options I don't understand so I just try and keep it simple. Once I found a complimentary TTS Voice App that wasn't completely digital sounding I was good to go. Now I use it to read PDF copies of books from time to time or downloaded ebooks from a subscription service. Only reason 4 stars is because it can often be confusing and not so user friendly for simple stuff.
2023-01-02 | Ok | I've used Librera for about two years and I really have no complaints. It is extremely intuitive for the most part, though copying text can be somewhat finnicky. I cannot comment on some functions, such as text to speech or the dictionary, as I have never used these features. I would recommend that you download the app through F-Droid solely for the sake of your privacy though. Overall, it is the best "reader" app that I have used so far. |
