2024-04-02 | Tommie Chap | Pretty good tab maker all around. I've been writing down riffs and ideas in it for several months now. I've got just a few problems with it. First, there's no way to make any notes longer than a quarter note without ties, which is frankly embarrassing for a music tool. Also, there's no pinch harmonics of any sort. I've resorted to using vibrato marker to symbolise them, when it really ought to be a separate thing.
2024-02-21 | Andrew Ollis | Really enjoy the app. I use it on my phone for on the go notation at a moments notice. The only problem I seem to have is I can't seem to change the tempo mid piece so high tempo passages playback at the established tempo from top making notation of certain styles and pieces unmanagable. Is this something unlocked by premium? Other apps solve this problem but their inerfaces are clumsy awkward and lacking in other functionalities.
2023-12-05 | Sam IRae | Where's the dotted quarter notes and dotted half notes? Whole notes? Half notes? It's a great concept, and I paid for the full version for a year, and would subscribe again if it had more note options and a more user friendly interface. It's not bad at all, but I'm currently a teacher needing to make a tab with whole notes, half notes, dotted quarter and dotted half notes, and it's not possible in this app, which is just silly, those are fundamental and basic necessities in music. Problematic.
2022-08-05 | Alex Night | I've been searching for a tab creator as great as this. I love being able to make a tab and listen to it wherever I go, and being able to save it as an actual file in my phone. Pro is a great deal too, 4 dollars per year, or 8 dollars for a lifetime. The only things I would like to see added is sound for dead notes, and an option for hammer ons and pull offs.
2022-07-26 | Ralph Geddes | I really, reeeaally like this app! It's great when you have to jot down ideas fast! Plus, it's always fun - to use, and to hear your ideas play back. It's very far from perfect (MAYBE ITS BECAUSE IT'S FOR TABLATURE), but I'd buy a premium version of it, if they would ever make it as perfect as other music notation applications using traditional staves and notes, etc. It used to allow access to the internet but it won't connect for me anymore. It's still fun software BUT THE INTERNET'S necessary.
2022-02-24 | Dan Schorsch | Gets the job done. Best and only free interactive tab writer I've found that's useable and has NO ADs!!! Simple basic tabs with a few technical features like: palm mute, bend/dive (1/2 or full) or vibrato~, slide, tripplets etc. Multi track tabing for lead, rhythm, & bass would be a nice addition. Ability to sync tabs across devices & directly share with others ex. Band/jam mates. Record audio samples for reference or when no time to tab out a riff or entire song please
2021-12-02 | Erin ocheltree | It's an alright app. It lets you get an idea of what you're trying to write, and the playback is a nice feature. It doesn't have alot of what you need to write good tabs though. It's only got one tone, it won't let you write anything longer than a quarter note, and it doesn't play dead notes. It's just so so... The app developer has a long way to go before it's anything more than just something to play around with.
2021-11-17 | Yihan Deng | It's ok for the bare minimum. Because I was in a pinch I paid for the full version, and it does ok, but the functionality is limited. You can't create custom tunings (though it does come with presets), you can't indicate strums, you can't use more complex musical notation, and it costs more than it's worth, imo. I would've just used Musescore if I had the time, and that's free.
2021-06-11 | TheSloppyJalopy | Can't access the server to find my old songs. I really enjoy the app and I've been able to transcribe and tweak my songs while using the app. It's easy to use and the server has alot of songs for you to see what the app can do. I just can't get acces to the server anymore. It keeps giving me net::ERR_CLEARTEXT_NOT_PERMITTED
2020-09-17 | Steven Gardner | It's actually a very intuitive layout and has nice playback. However, there are important elements missing: no capo option, no ability to denote finger positions, no options for chords above the tabs, no sound bank, and no option for multiple voices (like for a duet or isolating the bass line). It's a nice app to quickly get a rough draft tab together of more simple songs, but definitely not complex ones that require notations. Fix the app and I'll definitely give a better rating! |
