It's finally Happy Wheels on Android! I've wanted to see this for years!! But with all these Android based gaming handhelds coming out in the last few years from Retroid, Anbernic, etc, the fact that this has no gamepad support is basically an immediate dealbreaker for me. I went from absolutely over the moon excited that HW was finally available for my handhelds to absolute disappointment that I couldn't really play it, at least not with the physical controls.
Jim, I really do appreciate you for trying to create a high quality mobile experience, but I have a feeling that this game is restricted by itself, being a reimagining of the website version for a mobile friendly level-based structure that unfortunately is flawed in key areas: 1. Certain graphical and sound effects are unnecessary additions or sound/look off. 2. Physics are stiffer and less weighty than on desktop. 3. No option for usermade levels hurts the replayability. 4. Way too many ads...
I have given two stars instead of one, for the sole reason that the original version of Happy Wheels for PC is a great game. However, this app is nowhere near as good. There are constant bugs, and ads will pop up every one or two deaths. It is nothing like the original Happy Wheels. The quality of this app is comparable to 75 percent of the games on the Play Store. Way too many ads, to the point where you simply cannot enjoy the game. Totaljerkface can do better than this.
