| 2023-09-09 |  | | As someone who has struggled with phone addiction, I have to thank this app and the team behind it for helping me. When I found a loophole, I contacted their email, and within minutes, they had someone who was willing to help me resolve my problem so that the app could function right for me. This is an amazing app! And the creator of this app really explains a dark side to apps like this where even though Detoxify uses a subscription based plan its NOT selling your info like other apps do. |

The UI is simple, and having an accountability partner that set up my pin helps as well. The $5 is worth it, if I'm becoming a better person. My only issue at the moment, which may have more to do with my ISP, is that it seems like ever since I activated the app, my internet connection has been painfully slow, and not just at home. If there may be a resolution to this issue, that would be great. |

It's super glitchy, with the block pop-up screen coming up for allowed apps and even just logging into the phone. The bigger problem is two middle schoolers found different ways around this app. Customer service was responsive and gave me several suggestions, that didn't help, before their final suggestion was one that would have made the phone pretty unusable. Moving into something else. |

This does have methods to add to the block list however it usually ends up being a broad stroke and blocks too much. What is more annoying is that the system blocks aspects in the settings. Trying to fix issues unrelated to the app end up being blocked (aka accessing any type of global settings) and when your pin is only known to an accountability partner, it makes the whole process quite frustrating. |

I am not having a problem with pirn sites, but need the restricted mode on YouTube to be locked on, which this does. Did have someone else enter the PIM code. |

If it wasn't for that, I'd have relapsed a long time ago. great app and I recommend it highly. I would like to see more consistent restrictions on blocking certain apps like YouTube and Facebook. Also, google images still puts out a great deal of photos that I feel needs to be taken care of. |
| 2021-04-22 |  | | Great. Highly recommend. I just wish it had a blacklist for just words instead of just websites. If it is there I did not see it. Other than that, this website is great! Whatever site you put in to be blocked you will not get on that site. The pin locks are great. The fact that they have other people emails attached to it so it can notify somebody and so you cannot take off anything without the pin is beautiful! Just definitely make sure have somebody else put the pin in and don't cheat! |

Similar apps can cost much more each month, and work similarly. Another app slowed down my Android phone and killed my battery. No sililar issues with Detoxify. All in all, a good deal - I tell my friends to give them a try. |

My favorite tool is the 'panic button' & the ability to set a pin to to protect from turning the blocker off immediately which gives me some buffer time to think about my decision if I ever try to turn it off. I find myself using the panic button often whenever I have an inkling of a thought for a website in order to turn off my phone access for however many minutes I need. It subconsciously gives my mind no other options so it get's back on focus and lets any urges pass. Originally chose it for it's nice logo & kept it since the interface was simple and clean. Plus, the subscription was reasonable for a full year's protection and investment to take quitting for good more seriously. + Your messaging and intention seem to be in good heart Family first, thank you guys. -Alex |
