2024-11-01 | RHAL | Snes9x EX+ is great on a pc, but in my opinion, THIS is how it's supposed to be played. It's a handheld emulator, why not use it as a handheld? I only have one complaint, and that's that it doesn't have tactile feedback, but that's a small personal gripe. Other than that, this is a great way to experience those retro handheld games without buying the real deal or one of the many modern retro handheld consoles that are popping up nowadays.
2024-08-15 | Joe Wood | Great port of snes9x on android! However... the super scope controls need some work. Needs more turbo fire support, pause button, and in "Metal Combat" especially.. there's a ST called tornado where it has the hyper shot. You're supposed to hold in the cursor button and then fire. Hitting and holding the cursor works as it should, however it only fires a superturbo shot rather than the hyper shot. Please fix this
2024-04-04 | Daniel K | Very pleased with this emulator; I am using it on a cheap Android TV streaming box. The only problem I had was the joycon not working. This wasn't the fault of the emulator. Apparently in Android 11, using accessibility options messes with android gaming controllers. Once I disabled them all (key mapper, custom shut down button, etc) everything on the controller began working as it should.
2023-05-15 | jakesk53 | Nice job. You have to add some hotkeys, which are more virtual buttons with extra functions. They help you hold or toggle some of the virtual buttons like a, b, x, y or L or R shoulder buttons on and off. You have to add 'touch gliding' in the button settings. It helps you press and hold two or three buttons together by sliding your fingers over the virtual buttons like a, b, x, y or L or R shoulder buttons in the game.
2023-01-07 | Truly Infamous | SNES9x is already a top tier emulator, and this android version allows you to use it on mobile devices while having no compromises in functionality. Including support for wireless controllers and having just as much customization as the PC version, all you need to enjoy your Super Nintendo games on the go is a controller and the app. You can use it without a controller but I don't recommend it.
2023-01-07 | Eteban lujan | I like it. I can fast forward with the trigger button on my Bluetooth remote. Lots of controls and options. Make a folder of games on your phone and the app stays in that folder. Save states work real well. I can turn off the app and clear the cache n the game will be right where I left it. This app is too nice to be free.
2022-10-31 | M J-Y | For the most part, it works great with pretty much all of my favorite old school SNES games. However, I do have a complaint about the most recent update: the change to the savestate/autosaves function. Before, it was much easier and more convenient to access from the main menu, and I could easily disable autosaves. Now, I have to go into an extra sub-menu to use the manual saves, and it doesn't seem to be possible to disable autosaves in favor of on-demand manual saves. Please revert this.
2022-06-20 | Emily I Brown | Works about as well as the desktop version I've used for over a decade — it's missing a few features, like being able to exclude graphic layers, but I consider this only a minor issue. The virtual controls aren't great for action games due to lack of tactile feedback, but that's a problem with the medium, not the app. On the flip side, the sound renders FAR better on the mobile app than the PC app — far more authentic to the original SNES.
2022-04-05 | Caleb James | Downloaded this yesterday. By far the best SNES emulator on Android. A big thank you to the creator for making a clean, easy to use platform without ads or any purchasable upgrades. I admire that and actually wish I could pay for a premium version just to support you. Well done. As far as the app itself, I've had no problems. After realizing I needed to set a file location for saves, it was easy to find in the settings. Other than that, no issues. Thank you for letting me relive my childhood.
2022-04-05 | DireBowser | This has been my favorite Super Nintendo emulator for quite a while now. I really like the simplistic ui and how well it runs games. Only thing is that for some reason, hitting up on the right analog stick opens the menu. Not a big complaint, just a bit annoying when trying to press the pause button. |
