A bug has been introduced in recent months that says I need a "content update" prior to using the medication interaction checker, but then the content update doesn't even work, so I'm effectively locked out of the interaction checker. Sometimes the checker will work, sometimes the big happens. I can't believe they haven't fixed this yet! The interaction checker is critically important, and I need the tool *immediately* when I'm in the room with a patient! Updated review, bug appears to be fixed

I have used this app since 2001 and prior to this year I never had any significant issues. For the past year it has ranged from slow to unusable. The interaction check, one of the most important and useful aspects of the app, has not worked in months. Instead, it says a content update is necessary and then it goes into an endless cycle punctuated by periodic messages saying the app is not responding. I have updated as well as uninstalled and reinstalled. Update 10/22/24: Issue appears fixed

I have used this app since I was an EMT. It has been excellent for all these years, and now a practicing physician out of fellowship for over 10 years still the go-to app for medication information. UNTIL RECENTLY Now it is completely UNUSABLE. It crashes every time I load it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and always back to the same thing, start app, freeze and crash. The developers have really destroyed a great app and unless this fixed soon, I'll be going elsewhere.

Unreliable. I have used this app for 7 years religiously and actually recommended it to students, but that will be changing. "Content update required," in order to view the information I'm looking up has become a weekly ordeal. The most important feature, drug interactions simply states "content update required" even when it has been updated just seconds previously. Uninstalled reinstalled, cleared cache, did everything the Epocrates team suggested and just unsubscribed.

This used to be my goto app for drug info. Net something changed about a year or so ago. They changed how you can find drug interactions, used to be a drop down list for the drug, now you have to hit the drug you're interested in and the other drug you want to know what the interaction is. To top that off, every time I have to check, it's trekking me it has to update. And for the past several days, it can't complete the update. Waste of memory space.

I have used this app for YEARS without issue. For that I will give 2 stars. HOWEVER.... Recently the app is useless. I have been trying to look up medications, and nothing appears once you type the medication in and click on it...just a blank screen. Why am I paying for something that I can't use. This has significantly affected patient treatment and I will have to find another resource. As of today 10-2-24 I have deleted the App. Will have to find an alternative.

This is probably the most buggy app on my phone - if it were not from an otherwise reputable company I would assume it was some kind of malware. It freezes or crashes most of the time that I use it, and only is functional <10% of the time, so I have had to start using other sources for drug dosing, which is unfortunate because it use to be a useful quick reference. But this app is now anything but quick.

Now, I can't use the drug interactions function because it says it needs to download a content update. You press the button, and nothing happens. It won't complete the content update. I checked, and I have the most recent version from Google Play store. I have relied on this app for many years. Now, I am at a loss. The drug interaction check is a very important, critical function.

Great app prior to November or so; my first line reference for medications when working as a paramedic or teaching in the classroom, and I used to recommend it to everyone. However, for the last couple of months, it's frozen on the home screen and has had to be force closed; I haven't actually been able to look anything up since then, and will be deleting the app if the issue isn't resolved shortly. Can't currently recommend. Update: same problems as of 9/16/24. Find a different app.

I've used Epocrates for over 20 years. It was a fantastic, clinically useful app but has become useless over time. There was the debacle after the last update, when it would lock up and become utterly useless. It was "fixed" and with reinstallation was better, and now it is constantly malfunctioning again. Slow to launch (bogs down with ads), then slow to the point of uselessness, if it works at all, and now is locking up and I have to close app. PLEASE FIX!!!
