2024-10-15 | Jared Devall | This company is out for a money grab. Discontinues a product that's 2 years old and pushes their latest version. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. There is no guarantee your product will work or be supported in the near future
2024-01-28 | Louis Palmer | Not as good as desktop program. Has problems loading pictures. I really can't see someone paying a yearly subscription for this.
2023-10-08 | Dietmar Varga | This app works best together with the MasterCook desktop app. It's much easier to add recipes, related pictures, etc. in the desktop app versus on the phone. I only add and edit on the desktop, and I use the phone app to display a recipe while cooking. I like the functionalities of the desktop app that other apps don’t have, for example, the link to the 300000+ USDA food items database. Additional items not found in the USDA DB can be added together with nutritional information.
2022-10-30 | Linda K. | The mobile app keeps closing when I'm trying to add a recipe. Very frustrating that I have to go to my laptop to add recipes.
2022-05-05 | Dan Kraan | MasterCook for desktop computers is a great recipe program! That fact hasn’t changed since I began using it over 30 years ago. It’s a program that has provided robust recipe archiving, back-up, retrieval, and more! Now, thanks to the MasterCook App, that program capability is now portable. Tech support is available to help with any issues you may encounter. I’ve not had many, and they were dealt with promptly and professionally to my satisfaction. They have been friendly and helpful every time!
2022-04-20 | Sadie Schwartz | Not only is the app easy to use, MasterCook also has an excellent support team through their website.
2021-04-02 | JOHN R | At some point after 2011 the developer sold this company to Valusoft Finance (name says it all). Instead of improving their original Windows and Mac product they spent their money on extracting residual revenue from their existing and future base by investing in Android & IOS apps & a cloud site. The existing Win & Mac products are still early 2000s crude. Do yourself a favor: if you can live with a PC version, find a torrent and download v15 for free. That's what these greaseballs deserve.
2021-01-24 | Blake Shellabarger | Love this new App! Love the PC program! Love Master Cook! Great customer setvice. They're there for me when I wasn't able to pay the annual susbscription fee (which was a very low price) during pandemic unemployment. Then honored the special price when I was back employed and ready to pay it. I've been using MC for many YEARS. Was introduced to it way back in 2006 or so by my Boss.
2020-09-20 | Siju A | Bait and switch. Used this app for years then suddenly can't log in to see my saved recipes without paying almost $70 for an "annual subscription"?????? Pass. This app isn't worth more than HULU, even with its supposed "updates"
2020-08-24 | SYLVIA STEARNES | Some features are great for importing online recipes but I am still on the lookout for a better program. The shopping list sucks. It doesn't combine items or organize by shopping section so I may have something on my list that is repetitive, garlic for example, is listed 4 times in my list and I have to check it off 4 times and each time it wants me to accept and then returns to the top of the list so I have to scroll down again to check all off. Ridiculous rookie programming mistakes. |
